As a part of higher-order thinking ability,problem-solving ability is a kind of ability that students must possess when facing the challenges of the 21 st century.Therefore,for the study of physics,it is extremely important to cultivate the physicsproblem-solving ability of high school students.In recent years,with the rise of STEM education,Project-Based-Learning(PBL),as the main teaching mode of STEM education,has gradually entered people's vision.After doing a lot of literature reading,the author finds that project-based learning is very suitable for training students 'problem-solving ability because of its unique characteristics.Although there have been many researches on project-based-learning in China,there are also many researches related to training students' physics-problemsolving ability,but there are fewer studies that combine the two,and even less focus on physics.Therefore,based on the literature research,the author first made a clear conceptual definition of project-based learning and physics-problem-solving ability,and then used questionnaires,interviews,and test paper analysis for the senior students of the school where the internship was located.After conducting a current survey of physicsproblem-solving abilities and analyzing the collected data and text,it was found that the students of Senior One at the school had the following three characteristics in solving physics problems:(1)Their physics-problem-solving abilities were generally good,and "attitude","methods and strategies","quality" are similar in performance;(2)they have a problem that more independent thinking and less cooperation and innovation in the overall solution of physics problems;(3)from a gender perspective,boys and girls are in the physics-problem-solving ability is different at a significance level of 0.05.The physics-problem-solving ability of boys is slightly better than that of girls,but it is mainly reflected in the "attitude" dimension.Based on the measured current situation of physics-problem-solving ability of high school students,and based on constructivism and engineering and technical education as the theoretical basis,referring to the major elements of the teaching mode,a teaching mode based on the project-based-learning mode to cultivate the physics-solving-ability of high school students is constructed,and also analyzed its application strategy.On this basis,relevant cases were designed by referring to classic project-based-learning cases from abroad and the teaching model constructed in this study.There are also shortcomings in this study.Due to time and the objective conditions of the internship school,the author didn't carry out teaching practice.In addition,there are also problems of small experimental samples and needing to improve the effectiveness of questionnaire preparation.
