Research On The Influence Of Structural Holes On Firms' Innovation Performance

In social networks,there is a lack of direct connection or disconnection between certain individuals.From the perspective of the network as a whole,it seems that there are caves in the network.This is a structural hole.The concept of structural holes no longer treats companies as isolated but as relational players in a competitive domain.This requires that in today's era of knowledge economy,the key for enterprises to gain competitive advantage and improve their innovation ability lies not only in the enterprise itself,but also in how companies build their collaborative and innovative relationship network.The key of enterprise collaborative innovation lies in how to better integrate the knowledge resources in the innovation network,which mainly depends on two factors:First,the quality of the relationship in the enterprise collaborative innovation network,which determines the resources obtained by the enterprise collaborative innovation network Quality and frequency;the second is the enterprise's ability to absorb knowledge,which determines the enterprise's internalization and transformation efficiency of social innovation resources.Therefore,how to reasonably construct an innovative collaborative network suitable for the development of enterprises? How to treat the relationship between these two key factors in the innovation network? How to play a better role in enterprise innovation network to contribute to the improvement of innovation performance? Become the focus of researchers and entrepreneurs committed to improving the innovation performance of enterprises in the new era.This also makes the relevant research has the dual meaning of theory and reality.Based on the perspective of relationship,this dissertation focuses on the innovation performance of enterprises and focuses on the synergy of firm innovation network density,the relationship quality of innovation network members and the capacity of firm knowledge absorption on firm innovation performance.In this paper,we study the effect of structure-based network on the research of network density,taking knowledge acquisition,knowledge digestion and knowledge application as the constituent dimensions of knowledge absorptive capacity,management innovation performance andtechnology innovation performance as the basis of enterprise innovation performance,Scene adjustment.Based on a comprehensive review of domestic and foreign researches related to structural hole theory,relational quality theory,knowledge absorption theory and innovation performance theory,this dissertation puts forward the hypothesis and theoretical model of this thesis.At the same time,with the help of scientific and reasonable questionnaire Design,rigorous,rigorous empirical research tools to verify the relevant assumptions and models.And finally come to the following conclusion:(1)The number of structural holes and enterprise innovation performance inverted U-shaped impact.In the self-center network,as the number of structural holes in the network increases,the heterogeneous resources that an enterprise can obtain also increase,which helps to accumulate the prior knowledge of the enterprise: it is good for improving the innovation performance of an enterprise.However,After the peak of innovation performance,the increase of the number of structural holes will lead to the increase of information acquisition cost.The increase of knowledge span will lead to the decline of innovation performance of enterprises,finally showing the inverted U-shaped trend.(2)The quality of relations has a positive regulatory effect on structural holes and improvement of innovation performance.The research found that the quality of high relationship can provide such factors as scene adjustment factors of trust,commitment and so on,reducing the possibility of opportunistic behavior,ensuring stable communication frequency and improving the efficiency of enterprise acquiring,digesting and applying innovative knowledge in collaborative network.Improve business innovation performance.(3)Knowledge Absorption Capacity plays a part of the intermediary role between structure hole and enterprise innovation performance.Innovative network trait does not directly affect the innovation performance of enterprises,but indirectly affects the innovation performance of enterprises by exerting influence on the process of knowledge gathering,knowledge digestion and knowledge application in the innovation network.Knowledge acquisition,knowledge digestion and knowledge application are the three dimensions that constitute the knowledge absorption capacity of enterprises.The strongerthe digestion ability of enterprise knowledge is,the more it contributes to the improvement of enterprise innovation performance(4)The relationship between the quality of the role of mediation through the part of the intermediary role of knowledge absorptive capacity play an influencing relationship does not directly generate revenue,the quality of the relationship between enterprises only through a certain media will play an important role in improving business innovation performance.The study found that the absorptive capacity of enterprises plays an important role in this process.High-quality business relations help to improve the efficiency of external knowledge integration and transformation of enterprises,thereby affecting the improvement of enterprise innovation performance.The contribution of this paper is mainly reflected in the following aspects.Firstly,the quality of relationship is introduced into the study of innovation network as a mediating variable.At the same time,the intermediary role of knowledge absorption is further studied on the basis of information gathering and transfer in traditional structural holes and innovation performance research,Ric h in relevant theory.The second is to help relevant business decision-makers in the pursuit of high innovation performance pay attention to sparse suitable innovation synergy network and enhance their own learning ability,while maintaining a conscious awareness of the high quality of the relationship between the members of the network,its Management practices have strong guiding significance.
