Research On The Mechanism Of Public Participation In Food Safety Governance

Food safety is closely related to people’s life,affecting the livelihood of the people,the stability of the society and the government’s credibility.With the development of science and technology,food safety is becoming more and more serious and complex.Food safety has become an important threat to public health and safety.Today,the major social contradictions in our country have been transformed into the contradiction between the growing needs of the people and the uneven development of the imbalance.The people’s demand for food has been transformed from satisfying food and clothing to the pursuit of health and safety.Under the current situation,relying solely on the strength of the government and market has been unable to solve the food safety problem,so the principle of social governance is put forward,and public participation is one of the concrete manifestations of the social governance of food safety,which provides a new means for the food safety management.In the course of this study,the methods of literature research,investigation and comparative study are used.This paper analyzes the current situation of public participation in food safety social governance system and implementation in F Province,and summarizes the main problems of public participation.At the same time,we put forward the Countermeasures on the basis of the experience of establishing the F province food safety social governance demonstration county and the experience of the foreign public participation:Perfecting the legal guarantee for the public participation,improve the information disclosure system,promote the development of social organizations,strengthening the publicity and education of food safety,widening public participation in food safety management channels.Let the public participate in every link of food safety governance.Make the government and the public in a benign state of interaction.To improve the food safety and social co-governance model to solve the problem of food safety management.I am limited to the difficulty of obtaining information and the level of investigation,inadequate collection of foreign materials,limited scope of investigation and suggestions for countermeasures,which are only based on the situation of a part of the demonstration county of social co governance,and integrate the work experience with the advanced foreign experience and so on.
