A Study On The Mechanism Of Citizen Participation In Food Safety Supervision

In recent years, the food safety problems which have been reported have become one of the social problems that the public pay more attention . The frequent occurrence of food safety problems, we can not help but question the implementation of regulatory work. The government has also paid more and more attention to the solution of food safety problems.Recent studies have shown that the government has begun to attach importance to the role of citizen participation in food supervision, how to improve citizen participation enthusiasm to give full play to the social supervision role of citizen participation in food safety supervision, has become an important problem to be solved in food safety supervision. As far as China’s current research situation is concerned, most of the research focuses on the root cause of food safety problems and related research of food safety supervision institutions, The research results are not mature in the practice of citizen participation in supervision, supervision of food safety, the lack of empirical research on the practice of citizen participation in food safety supervision, research on the experience and problems of citizen participation in food safety supervision is obviously insufficient,lack of systematic theory as the support, the need for further in-depth research on citizen participation and supervision.Firstly, this paper analyzes the concepts of food safety supervision, citizen participation and citizen participation mechanism,and adopts questionnaire survey to do further research. Through the investigation of the current Beijing city residents to participate in the supervision of food safety, analysis of data, found that the current residents of the low degree of satisfaction of the current food safety, food safety of citizens to maintain a certain degree of concern,but did not fully participate in the food safety supervision work,cast doubt on the regulatory capability, so that trust crisis of government and citizens.Then, according to the actual situation of our country, this paper analyzes the existing problems of citizen participation in food safety supervision, and puts forward some measures to further improve the citizen participation mechanism in food safety supervision.In this study, the mechanism of participation is divided into 5 mechanisms,study on the existing problems,In the last chapter,the author puts forward the improvement of citizen cognition ; strengthening citizen knowledge learning; to establish incentive measures;improve citizen participation system,and so on. Hope that through these measures can provide a useful way for citizens to participate in food safety supervision, the government and citizens to work together to solve the problem of food safety.
