Research On The Efficiency Of Technological Innovation In The Electronics And Communication Equipment Manufacturing Industry

Rapid update speed and high technical requirements of the electronics and telecommunication equipment make the development of the industry become one of the yardsticks to measure a country's productivity level.Although the electronic and telecommunication equipment manufacturing industry in China has made good progress in recent years,many core technologies are still under the control of other countries,so it is very important to improve technological innovation efficiency.Based on Data Envelopment Analysis(DEA),using chain-typed relational network DEA and Malmquist Index Model,this paper measures the industry's technical innovation efficiency of the whole stage and R&D stage and conversion stage.And based on the whole efficiency value,we analyze influential factors of industrial technological innovation by using the fixed effects model.The main contents of this paper are as follows:1.We construct an indicator system to measure the efficiency of technological innovation.And the results of the static model show that there are differences in the efficiency between R&D stage and conversion stage in different regions,so the overall efficiency is significantly different,the results of the dynamic model show that the technological innovation efficiency increased by 12.4%annually from 2003 to 2013,which is mainly due to the improvement of the efficiency of the conversion stage.The largest increase in efficiency in both stages is the western region,at 10%and 17%respectively.2.We propose seven factors that affect the efficiency of industrial technological innovation,and do an empirical analysis by using 11 year panel data.The results show that the intensity of R&D investment,the scale of enterprises and the industrial performance can promote the efficiency,reliance on others' technologies and exporting to less developed regions both have a negative effect,R&D investment and government support have no obvious effect.Finally,we put forward the recommendations to enhance the technological innovation efficiency of China's electronic and telecommunication equipment manufacturing industry.
