The equipment manufacturing industry is the fundamental machine of the entire manufacturing industry.It plays an engine role in the manufacturing industry and plays a vital role in the lifeblood of the national economy.However,China's equipment manufacturing industry is large but not strong and lacks competitiveness in the international field.The root cause of the phenomenon lies in the weakness of independent innovation consciousness and independent innovation capability.What this article discusses is based on the perspective of the innovation value chain,the current level of technological efficiency of China's equipment manufacturing industry,and the role of influencing factors.The significance of the innovation value chain is to abandon the traditional perception of innovation,that is,a single one-way single-link input-output,but based on the three-stage theory of the innovation value chain,the innovation process is decomposed into the research and development stage,production stage and commodity.In the actual national economic production,innovation itself is a multi-link,multi-input,multi-output process,which is intertwined with each other.This article analyzes the technical efficiency of the innovation process based on the innovation value chain.Being close to reality is more instructive.First of all,the paper reviews the concepts of innovation value chain and technological efficiency;secondly,it explores the mechanism of improving the technological efficiency of China's equipment manufacturing industry from the perspective of innovation value chain,and analyzes the current development of China's equipment manufacturing industry;again,According to the theme of the article,the empirical method and the construction of the index system were determined.From the second,it is the main empirical part of the article.Based on the data from 2008-2018,from the perspective of the industry,using the DEA model for China's equipment manufacturing industry 2009-2017 The empirical analysis of the input and output of the three links of annual innovation was carried out,and the comprehensive technical efficiency,pure technical efficiency and scale efficiency of the three links were calculated respectively.The clarification and theoretical analysis of the technical efficiency of each sub-sector combined with the actual situation are also made.In order to further explore the effect of specific input factors on technological efficiency values in each link,the article uses the gray correlation model to start from the industry perspective and time series perspective,and calculate the correlation between the specific input factors and efficiency values in the three links of innovation,and Correlation order is arranged for specific input factors to explore which specific factor input can maximize the efficiency value,so as to provide theoretical support for industrial structure adjustment and reasonable resource allocation.Finally,the main purpose of the article research and the empirical part are concluded: Overall,China's equipment manufacturing industry has the highest innovation efficiency in the research and development stage,and the technical efficiency in the value stage is lower than the technical efficiency in the research and development stage,and higher than the technical efficiency in the materialization stage.In addition,according to the correlation between the specific input factors and efficiency values under the three-stage gray correlation model,specific targeted conclusions and suggestions for improving the technical efficiency in the innovation process of China's equipment manufacturing industry are proposed.
