Influence Factors And Economic Benefit Evaluation Of Water Fertilizer And Pesticide Integration Technology Adoption Behavior In Household

China is a traditional agricultural country.Agricultural technology extension in our country is limited by many factors such large number of farmers and their different education background as well as types of agricultural new technology.Establishment of a modern farm management system is prerequisite to achieve the scale and standardization,intensive development direction.It is difficult to achieve expected results without effective policy and well-planned strategy.Therefore,it is necessary to study the influencing factors on farmers' adoption of new technology such as "integration of water,fertilizer and pesticide".Adoption of new technologies by farmer is associated with their individual characteristics(such as sex,age,educational level,facultative degree,land management,agricultural technology and information access),resource natural endowment(natural conditions,available land resources,labor force and financing),and action variables(risk awareness,information channels,agricultural subsidies,input-output analyses).In the present study,factors affecting farmers' adoption of "integration of water,fertilizer and pesticide" were analyzed according to the adoption of new technology decision factors for farmers combined with surveys of 965 litchi and longan farmers in Guangxi and Guangdong,in 2017.There was a significant positive correlation between the adoption of "integration of water,fertilizer and pesticide" technology and the government support.Adoption of the technology was positive correlations with the social relations(cadres or Chinese communist party members),land condition(area,time of lease contract)and farmer education levels while it was negative correlation with farmer age and investment cost.Results from two key farmer cases showed that adoption of "integration of water,fertilizer and pesticide" is low cost and high efficiency in term of low input and a significant increase in yield.Suggestions were provided based on problems and influcing factors of "integration of water,fertilizer and pesticide" technology extention.First,Land management system should be standarded and large scale planting is of supreme importance.Second,it is necessary to establish allowance for new agricultural technology and regulate effective use of those allowances.Third,modern agriculture needs a lot of new-type farmers with theory and practice and government should make policies to support them.Fourth,technical training and extension of new technology should be encouraged.Fifth,successful cases of farm or demonstration zone can be used as base for learning new agriculture technology.
