Since the beginning of the new century,the development of agriculture and rural areas in China has entered a new historical stage,and the market has become the main factor restricting the adjustment of agricultural structure.In the face of the new situation of agricultural marketization and internationalization,how to avoid the natural risk and market risk and move to the market better for the small farmers with decentralized management has become an important subject in the development of agriculture and rural economy in China.The practical experience at home and abroad has proved that in order to solve this problem effectively,we should rely on the construction and development of farmer cooperative economic organizations with farmers' co-operatives as the main form,so as to improve the farmers' degree of organization.With the promulgation of the Law of the People's Republic of China on Farmers' Professional Cooperatives the implementation ushered in 10 years,farmer cooperative in our country has accumulated a lot of experience when it enters the stage of development according to law.Thispaper studies and discusses the performance of farmers' cooperatives,summarizes the development experience of farmers' cooperative economic organizations at home and abroad,sums up the organizational characteristics in the process of their development,and demonstrates the organizational structure and organizational behavior of farmers' cooperatives.The logical relationship and transmission mechanism among organizational performance are of great significance for improving the efficiency of agricultural production and management,rational allocation of production factors and increasing farmers' income,and it can also improve the organizational structure of Chinese farmers' cooperatives.Improving the organizational performance and market competitiveness of farmers' cooperatives in China recommendations.This study starts with further improving the performance of farmer cooperatives in China,focusing on two problems in reality,that is,"what are the key factors that determine the choice of the behavior of an industrial organization?" & "What are the internal links between the organizational structure,organizational behavior and organizational performance of cooperatives? " The organizational performance of farmer cooperatives has been analyzed by comprehensively using many theories such as agricultural economics,industry economics,the new institutional economics and the econometrics,by unifying the historical development path and the practicedevelopment logic,by combining with macro-data summary and micro-statistical description,and also based on qualitative standardization and quantitative empirical research.This research firstly analyzes the connotation and evolution mechanism of cooperatives,collects and combs the existing research results,introduces the development course,current situation and existing problems of Chinese farmers' cooperatives.Secondly,based on the previous research results,this paper sets up indicators,tries to construct the performance evaluation index system of farmers' cooperatives,and adopts the method of regression analysis.Based on the field survey data of the research group,this paper makes an empirical test on the evaluation index system.Thirdly,it makes a comparative analysis of the typical farmer cooperative economic organizations in the world,and summarizes the enlightenment to the development of Chinese farmers' cooperatives.Finally,summarizing the structure,behavior and performance of farmer cooperative,in order to explore the law of the development of farmers' cooperatives,further improve the organizational performance and market competitiveness of Chinese farmers' cooperatives,and put forward suggestions to optimize the development path of Chinese farmers' cooperatives.The possible innovations of this paper are: firstly,discussing thebehavior choice of cooperatives based on the perspective of agricultural organizations,summarizing the evolution of the functional characteristics of cooperatives in the view of "dynamic",and analyzing the influential factors of its function expansion.Secondly,summing up and quantitatively describing the influential factors of behavior selection(i.e.service supply)and organizational performance in the operation of peasant cooperatives.And probing into the deep logic connection between service supply and performance of cooperatives by estimating the binary selection model.The main conclusions of this study are: At present,the core essence of farmer cooperative is democratic control and service members,this is the fundamental factor to distinguish it from the company.The development of Chinese farmer cooperatives are still in the exploration and improvement stage in general,but as long as it is by the farmers' spontaneous formation and can promote the farmers income,they should be given the corresponding support for the development of farmer cooperatives.The basic influential factors of the organization performance of the farmer cooperatives are the internal structure and the external environment,in order to enhance the performance of cooperatives,the organization structure of cooperatives should be rationalized,and the external environment of cooperatives development should also be improved so that the cooperatives can be compatible with the development process.Theinnovation of organizational structure of farmer cooperatives is influenced by the change of relative price and the preference of members.These are the important factors for the institutional change of cooperatives.
