The old mode of telecom operators promoting the revenue growth through the scale of traditional communication business is becoming more and more difficult to sustain.It is generally facing the problem of growth stagnation,and the emerging Internet of things market has great potential.GY company is a Guangdong branch of a domestic telecom operator.Its Internet of things business is mainly through the sales of Internet of things sim cards to customers to provide network connection services to obtain network traffic revenue.Although the number of users of the Internet of things business has grown rapidly,the share of users is far lower than that of its mobile users.Within its group,it is also lower than the average level of the share of users of Internet of things business in other provinces.Therefore,it is imperative to seize market opportunities and make large Internet connections and increase market share.First,Through the PEST model,This article analyze the macro environment,the Internet of things industry environment and the competition situation.We can find that although compared with competitors,GY's iot business currently has dominated the Guangdong market,but competition is increasing.Then,the internal resources and abilities of the GY company are analyzed,and SWOT model is used to analyze the advantages and disadvantages,opportunities and threats.On this basis,we set out its iot business development goals,the overall strategy and basic competitive strategy that taking a centralized strategic major at the same time,also need to implement differentiation competitive strategy to construct ecosystem connection value.Subsequently,the implementation and safeguard measures were formulated from the aspects of customer development,organization guarantee,product promotion,industrial cooperation and brand building.Finally,the development strategy of the Internet of things business in GY company is summarized.
