Direct investment is one of the important driving forces of China's economic growth. The two regions of South Asia and Central Asia are the important parts of China's "maritime Silk Road of twenty-first Century" and "the economic belt of the Silk Road".It is an important region of China's economic and trade cooperation.Since twenty-first Century,China's direct investment and export trade in these two regions have been growing rapidly, but there are great differences in the two regions, and the export effect of China's direct investment in two regions will also be different. But the previous research does not make a detailed analysis and Discussion on this issue. Therefore, this paper will make a more comprehensive and reasonable comparative analysis on the effect of China's investment export effect on South Asia and Central Asia.Based on the model of trade attraction, this paper will collect relevant data from various countries and regions, and conduct in-depth research on China's specific investment and export trade between 2004 and 2015 in South and Central Asia.Including the scale of investment, the number of enterprises and the distribution of industries, the scale of export trade, the proportion of export trade, and the structure of export trade commodities. The empirical part first briefly analyzes and explains the key variables and control variables, mainly including direct investment, the analysis of the GDP and GDP growth rate levels of the trading parties, geographical distance, trade openness, population and exchange rate levels, and so on.Through the regression analysis of China's export trade using the feasible generalized least squares method(FGLS),it is found that the ODI variables in the models in the two regions are significantly positively related to exports. The export effects of Chinese investment in South Asia and Central Asia are complementary, but other control variables such as GDP,GDP growth rate, trade openness, population, exchange rate, and geographical distance have different effects on China's export trade in the two regions. The paper is divided into four parts. The first part, the introduction. This part mainly includes the background of the topic and the expression of the significance of the research, the summary of the classic theory and the domestic and foreign research trends on the effect of investment export, the introduction of the research content and research methods, the expected results and the innovation. The second part,China's investment and export trade with South Asian and Central Asian countries. This part mainly introduces China's investment and export status in South Asia and Central Asia, including the scale of investment and exports, the structure of investment and exports. The third part is an empirical analysis of China's investment and export effect on South Asia and Central Asia. This part, based on the theory of trade gravitation, establishes the regression model of two regions in South Asia and Central Asia respectively, and carries out a test and regression estimation of the model. Finally, the results of the key variables of the two region model are fully compared. The fourth part, summary and discussion. This paper summarizes and analyzes the previous situation analysis and empirical analysis, and puts forward specific policy recommendations.
