Under the background that the current world economic situation is not optimistic,China's review of the situation has put forward the “the Belt and Road Initiative”.“ the Belt and Road Initiative”includes the Silk Road Economic Belt and the21st-Century Maritime Silk Road. The strategy aims to strengthen China's cooperation with neighboring countries and regions. It is a key strategy for China's opening up to the outside world in the new era and an inevitable choice to promote common prosperity, mutual benefit and win-win for Europe and Asia.Once the“the Belt and Road Initiative” was put forward,it was strongly discussed by the people of the country and the governments of the world responded positively. This strategy is a new model of international regional economic cooperation proposed by China to promote the deepening of economic globalization. The core is to promote the orderly and free flow of economic factors, the efficient allocation of resources and the deep integration of the market, and promote the development of a wider, higher level and deeper regional cooperation to jointly create an open, inclusive, balanced and inclusive regional economic cooperation.frame.As a new model of regional cooperation, the“the Belt and Road Initiative” should focus on the smooth flow of trade. The trade routes between China and China along the “ the Belt and Road ” have strong complementarities. With the opening of the“the Belt and Road”trade road and the expansion of trade scale, the trade multiplier effect will promote the improvement of trading efficiency, and the economies of various countries will be fast.increase.To this end,China has placed high expectations on trade cooperation with countries along the“ the Belt and Road ”,and actively promoted the signing of a series of trade cooperation agreements, strengthened multilateral trade cooperation, and removed trade development obstacles for trade development paved the way. What is the current trade situation between China and the“the Belt and Road”countries? What are the factors affecting bilateral trade between the two sides? What is the impact? Solving these problems will definitely promote the development of bilateral trade between China and the“the Belt and Road”countries. In this respect, this paper refers to the relevant literature to divide the 64 countries of the“the Belt and Road”into six major sections, and analyzes the trade status, traderelations and trade characteristics of China and the six major sectors. This paper examines the trade relationship and trade characteristics of China along the “the Belt and Road ” countries by examining the trade integration index(TII index),the dominant comparative advantage index(RCA index),and the HM index. The study found that China's trade integration with countries along the “the Belt and Road” is becoming more and more close, and export trade is complementary and competitive, and it is characterized by asymmetry. In addition, the export focus between China and the countries along “the Belt and Road ” is different, complementing and competing with each other.Based on the panel data of China's import and export trade in 64 countries along“the Belt and Road” from 2001 to 2016,this paper uses the import and export demand model to empirically analyze the influencing factors of bilateral trade between China and the “the Belt and Road” countries. The results show that each influencing factor has the same effect on China's import and export trade with the six major sectors, but the degree of impact is different.China's GDP regression coefficient is significantly positive. It shows that China has a positive role in promoting import and export trade with the “the Belt and Road”countries. The country with stronger economic strength has a larger market scale and stronger production capacity, that is,there is a significant home country effect.Geographical distance has become an important factor hindering bilateral trade, especially for the negative effects of the Central and Eastern Europe,West Asia and Middle East sectors. The impact of RMB internationalization on exports and imports has played a significant role in hindering exports and has a positive effect on imports. The regression coefficients of institutional distance and adjacent effects are both negative, and they have a significant inhibitory effect on China's import and export trade with the“the Belt and Road”countries. The parameter estimation of trade facilitation conditions is positive, which has promoted the development of trade between the two sides. However, the countries along the “the Belt and Road”have relatively low economic development, and the conditions for trade facilitation are not high.
