With the development of social economy in China,the problems of scattered production,small scale,and disconnection from the market in the family-contract responsibility system have gradually emerged.Land circulation has developed and the land circulation has been diversified.Along with the circulation of land,the land is concentrated on scale planting and the rural labor force is transferred,and farmer’s livelihoods change.The agriculture is a research hotspot for scholars all the time,so the changes for livelihood capitals and livelihood strategies on account of land transfer have also received more and more attention from scholars.This paper studies the impact of land transfer on the livelihood strategy for the Dai in Xinping.Firstly,according to the land transfer status for the Dai in Xinping,the farmer are divided by land contractors into three major categories:the farmer who transferred land to big growers;the farmer who transferred land to cooperatives;the farmer who transferred land to companies.secondly,contrastive analyzing the change for the livelihood capital of different farmers in typical villages before and after land transfer to study the changes of livelihood capital before and after land transfer;thirdly,a binary logistic regression model was constructed to explore the relationship between the livelihood capital and the choice of livelihood strategies;finally,established contacting the changes of the livelihood capital of different farmers before and after the land transfer with the influencing factors of the choice of livelihood strategies,how farmers choose a livelihood strategy is researched.The research shows that:①Now the land transfer area of Xinping County has reached 192,500 mu,which has a certain scale.And the land transfer’s pattern for Dai farmers in Xinping is also gradually diversified.Different types of land transfer have different characteristics.The characteristic of pattern that farmer transferred of land to big growers includes:the contractors mainly are out-of-town businessmen and the Hans,the lease period is shorter,the rented land is mostly paddy field,the rent is higher,the rent is mostly paid once a year or according to the crop planting cycle;The characteristic of pattern that farmer transferred of land to the cooperative includes:the lease period is short,the rented land is paddy field,there is no rent;The characteristic of pattern that farmer transferred of land to the company includes:the lease period is longer,the rented land mainly is mountainous,and the rent price is not high,the rent is paid in one lump sum or once many years.②Before and after the land transfer,it’s obvious for farmers who transfer lands to large growers that human capitals financial capitals and social capitals increase.For the farmers transferred lands to the cooperative,the changes of natural capital and material capital are obvious;For farmers transferred lands to the company,the changes of human capital,natural capital and social capital are obvious;③After the land transfer,natural capital and physical capital are the dominant factors affecting the choice of agriculture-dominated livelihood strategy;Natural capital and human capital are the dominant factors affecting the choices of the concurrently-oriented livelihood strategy.The dominant factor,human capital,financial capital,and social capital are the dominant factors affecting the choice of non-agricultural-dominated livelihood strategies;④livelihood capital will determine the choice of livelihood strategies.Due to changes in livelihood capital before and after land transfer,the livelihood strategy also changes.After the land transfer,farmers,who transfer lands to big grower,tend to choose non-agricultural-dominated livelihood strategies;Farmers,who transfer lands to cooperatives,tend to choose agriculture-dominated livelihood strategies;Farmers,who transfer lands to the company,tend to choose concurrently-oriented livelihood strategies.
