| With the advent of global economic integration,increasing competition,changes in consumer demand patterns,and the reduction of transaction costs caused by the continuous development of technology,the servicizing has become one of the development trends of the world's manufacturing industry.Manufacturing companies in developed countries such as Europe and the United States have increased the value of their core products by providing different types of service businesses,and achieve a substantial increase in service revenue.In contrast,China's manufacturing industry is not strong at all.Servicizing provides a thought to solve the current development dilemma of the manufacturing industry,especially in the context of the "Made in China 2025",what is the current situation of domestic manufacturing enterprises?What factors are affected in the process of servicizing?And is there a performance improvement effect of servicizing?The exploration of these issues will help us understand how to use the servicizing to build the enterprise's own advantages under the current transitional economic situation,and provide a practical and theoretical basis for manufacturing enterprises to get rid of the development dilemma.This paper will take Henan Province as an example,taking 60 listed companies in Henan Province as the research object,and using the data of enterprises in2015-2017 to conduct an empirical research on the phenomenon of manufacturing servicizing.Firstly,it sorts out and comments on the relevant domestic and foreign literatures on servicizing theory,introduces the theoretical basis related to servicizing,and defines the concept of manufacturing servicizing.On the basis of previous studies,combined with the service activities actually carried out by manufacturing enterprises in Henan Province,this study manually organize and extract the business scope of listed companies,and divided the service business into 15 categories.Subsequently,two levels of servicizing are defined,namely the servicizing level represented by the service business category and the servicizing intensity represented by the servicizing income.And conduct the descriptive statistical analysis of the status quo ofmanufacturing servicizing based on the two dimensions.After understanding the current situation,this paper uses panel data to empirically analyze the influencing factors of service enterprise service,the relationship between servicizing and enterprise performance.Propose corresponding countermeasures on the results of the empirical analysis.On the basis of these research above,we can obtain the following conclusions:(1)Servicizing is the process of manufacturing enterprises to better meet customer needs and obtain differentiated competitive advantages,and extend the main business activities of enterprises from simple manufacturing to various types of service business.The essence of servicizing is to enhance manufacturing capacity of the enterprise.(2)China's manufacturing servicizing level is at a backward level internationally;The servicizing degree of domestic eastern region is higher than the central and western regions;All manufacturing enterprises in Henan Province are involved in servicizing activities,but there are significant industry differences and ownership differences in the degree of service;From the perspective of the type of service business carried out by enterprises,most of these are closely related to the manufacturing links of the enterprise value chain.(3)The empirical analysis of the factors affecting the servicizing found that external environmental factors,internal organizational factors,and corporate governance structures all have an important impact on servicizing.(4)The empirical analysis outcomes of the relationship between servicizing and enterprise performance shows that there is a U-shaped relationship.(5)The countermeasures are proposed from both the government and enterprises combined with the actual situation of listed companies in Henan Province. |
