At present,China's sustainable agricultural development faces not only two"ceilings",but also two "magic spells".Two "ceilings" means the price of major agricultural products is higher than the import price and agricultural subsidies have been subject to WTO rules. And two "magic spells" indicates eco-environmental carrying capacity approaches the limit and the intensity of resource exploitation and utilization is excessive. And the academics and the government have all attached great importance to domestic food security issues. On the one hand, the output of domestic agricultural products has increased, and exports have expanded and encountered with foreign technical barriers frequently. On the other hand, the gap between production and demand of domestic agricultural products has been offset by imports. However,it has brought about a certain impact on China's grain self-safety,ecological environment and agricultural production capacity. Therefore, under the background of food security issues,we select Northeast China which is China's important agricultural production bases and the major area of foreign trade as research object to study the relationship of agricultural trade and agricultural environment. And analyzing the conflict between agricultural economic system and environmental systems, which is of great significance to ensuring food security in China and maintaining the coordinated development of economic systems and ecosystems. The main questions that this paper tries to answer are:Firstly,is there a correlation between deterioration of agricultural environment and expansion of agricultural exports?Secondly,if the export of agricultural products causes the deterioration of the agricultural environment, how much will it affect? And what is the specific mechanism of action?Based on these issues, this paper introduces the status quo of agricultural trade and the agricultural environment in Northeast China through actual data firstly. Then, the Johansen test is used to analyze the relationship between agricultural exports and agricultural carbon emissions in Northeast China;finally, the panel data analysis focuses on the impact of agricultural product exports on environmental pollution in terms of scale effect, structural effect and technical effect.According to the empirical results, following conclusions are drawn:First, there is a correlation between expansion of agricultural exports and deterioration of agricultural environment, and the environmental Kuznets curve of the Northeast region is inverted U-shaped.Second,the general effect of agricultural exports on the environment is negative. That means expansion of agricultural exports increases environmental pollution.Third, the specific impact of agricultural exports on the environment is a negative scale effect,a positive structural effect, and a positive technological effect.Negative scale effect means the higher dependence of agricultural exports, the more agricultural carbon emissions.Positive structural effect indicates that the increasing independence on agricultural exports will lead to a reduction in agricultural carbon emissions.Positive technical effect shows that increasing the dependence on agricultural exports will reduce agricultural carbon emissions. On the one hand, export trade increases revenue and promotes domestic research on agricultural technologies. On the other hand, export trade enhances the communication between domestic and foreign agricultural production technology, then stimulates the progress of agricultural science and technology. And it finally leads to a decline in the agricultural environmental pollution.Eventually, this paper puts forward policy recommendations to promote the coordinated development of agricultural production and trade and agricultural environment in Northeast China.Such as formulating green agricultural standards to promote the transformation of production methods, exploiting international markets to improve the positive effects of agricultural products trade.
