| Commercial banks are the mainstay of modern financial market services,and the development of the economy is inseparable from commercial banks.Commercial banks need to adapt to changes in the environment through improvement of the performance appraisal system.A reasonable performance appraisal system is an important means to stimulate employees’ enthusiasm for work,not only to improve service quality and increase operating profit,but also to keep going the optimize of resource allocation.However,the performance appraisal of commercial banks often rely on the assessment of financial indicators,ignore the impact of the internal and external environment of commercial banks and the role of nonfinancial indicators in their business processes,so that employees with potential contributions and performance are in vain,which will cause reducing work enthusiasm and affecting the quality of service of banks.How to use reasonable performance appraisal to improve business performance,improve incentive and restraint mechanism,and even realize the realization of strategic objectives is a realistic problem of commercial banks.On the basis of clarifying the purpose and significance of the research,the thesis expounds the literature on performance appraisal and balanced scorecard from domestic and overseas,conducts relevant argumentation analysis,and explains the advantages of BSC.Then it introduces the general situation of GS Bank S branch.Through the analysis of the current performance appraisal method of S branch,it comprehensively introduces its performance appraisal status and points out the problems existing in the current method.According to industry characteristics,it takes S branch of GS bank as an example and analyzes the problems existing in its current performance appraisal.Then it analyzes the necessity and feasibility of S branch using BSC to appraise its performance.It describes the design process of BSC system in detail,and how the system working on S branch’s performance appraisal.Combines with the characteristics of the S branch,the key indicators suitable for the development of the S branch are selected from the four dimensions,and calculated by the analytic hierarchy process.The weights of each indicator form the four dimensions of BSC,and the BSC performance appraisal system at the bank level,department level and staff level are constructed respectively.After the completion of the performance appraisal system,it points out the problems that S branch should pay attention to when applying the balanced scorecard for performance appraisal,and the safeguard measures while implementing.The thesis perfected the performance appraisal system of S branch,and made up for the lack of research on the performance appraisal of grassroots commercial banks to some degree which provides reference for other commercial banks. |
