Research On The Competitiveness Evaluation Of Beijing Exhibition Industry

The exhibition industry is one of the important pillars of the modern service industry.It is of great significance for improving the economic development and popularity of the city and promoting investment attraction.Under the background of the new era,the development of exhibition industry has achieved excellent results in China.With the development of economic globalization,exchanges between China and the rest of the world are becoming more frequent.The development environment of the exhibition industry is complex and changeable,but it still maintains sustained and stable development.The development of Beijing exhibition industry brings together many advantageous resources and policy benefits continue to be improved.As the supply-side structural reform and the strategy of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei coordinated development to be put forward,the development of Beijing exhibition industry presents new ideas,new formats and new models,with opportunities and challenges coexisting.It is of great significance to maintain the high-quality development of Beijing exhibition industry by evaluating the competitiveness of the exhibition industry in Beijing and exploring its problems in the process of development.The main content of this paper is divided into five parts.The first part is the introduction.It explores the significance of evaluating the competitiveness of Beijing exhibition industry,summarizes the research results of the domestic and international competitiveness of urban exhibition industry,and introduces the framework and innovation of this article.The second part explores the development status of Beijing exhibition industry and summarizes some problems in the development of Beijing exhibition industry.The third part is based on the development status of Beijing exhibition industry,adopting Delphi method and expert scoring method,selecting appropriate indicators,and constructing the evaluation index system of urban exhibition industry competitiveness.This part calculates the weight of each indicator of Beijing exhibition industry competitiveness through AHP software,and then carries out a fuzzy comprehensive evaluation of the competitiveness of Beijing exhibition industry.The fourth part is an empirical analysis of the competitiveness of exhibition industry in Beijing.This part combines the weights of the indicators calculated in the third part to compare the development of exhibition industry in Beijing and 12 cities in China,further analyzes the problems in the development of Beijing exhibition industry,and explores ways to continue to maintain competitiveness of Beijing exhibition industry.The fifth part puts forward some suggestions to improve the competitiveness of Beijing exhibition industry based on the analysis of Beijing exhibition industry in the previous sections,the conclusions from the comprehensive evaluation and the results of the empirical analysis.The research results of this paper are as follows.By analyzing the development status of exhibition industry in Beijing and comparing with the competitiveness of exhibition industry in 12 cities,the following problems exist in the development of exhibition industry in Beijing: Insufficient awareness of environmental protection,serious energy consumption and environmental pollution;The exhibition hall is small in size and the supporting facilities are not perfect;The advantage of the exhibition hall gathering effect is not obvious.By constructing the evaluation index system of urban exhibition industry competitiveness and adopting fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method to analyze and evaluate the competitiveness level of Beijing exhibition industry,the comprehensive score of Beijing exhibition industry competitiveness level is 4.573.There is still a big gap compared with foreign exhibition industry.By comparing Beijing with 12 domestic cities,it is concluded that the competitiveness of Beijing exhibition industry is comparable to that of Shanghai and Guangzhou.The three cities are still in the leading position in the development of domestic urban exhibition industry.The development strategy of Beijing has changed due to the impact of policies such as dissolving non-capital functions and the coordinated development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei,but it has little impact on the competitiveness of Beijing exhibition industry.Finally,based on the background of the times,the following suggestions to improve the competitiveness of Beijing exhibition industry are proposed:Accelerate the cultivation of talents in exhibition industry;Cultivate brand exhibitions and enhance the internationalization level of the exhibition;Promote the development of science and technology and green development of the exhibition industry;Grasp the direction of development from the overall and strategic heights.
