With the development of economy and the progress of science and technology,the supply chain launches new products in the market at a faster speed.In the initial stage of launching a new product,the original product will not be immediately withdrawn from the market.At this time,multiple generations of products will coexist in the market.Multi-generation products will interact with each other in the market,and compared with the diffusion research of updated products in multi-generation products,the delisting research on the original products is relatively scarce.The purpose of this study is to help supply chain to make the best decision about the exit time of original product.This paper mainly consists of four parts:(1)Firstly,the product update in the supply chain is described,the definition of the original product and the updated product is defined,and the diffusion of the updated product is further analyzed,including the dynamic process and characteristics of the diffusion of the updated product.On the basis of diffusion analysis,this paper briefly introduces two basic models: Fisher model and Bass model,and analyzes the delisting of products.(2)Based on Fisher model and differential product demand model,single product diffusion model and multi-generation product diffusion model are constructed.On this basis,in order to maximize the benefits of the supply chain,we build a product delisting model,proposed the best time for the exit time of products.The simulation results show that the time of product delisting is prior to the time when the product is no longer profitable,which breaks the traditional understanding.The more innovative the updated product is,the earlier the original product will exit the market,the shorter the life cycle of the product and the faster the product will be updated.(3)Based on the classical Bass model,the single-product diffusion model and multi-generation product diffusion model are constructed by considering the innovation factor,imitation factor,price factor and transfer factor.Based on the principle of maximizing the benefit of supply chain,the delisting model is further constructed.Simulation results show that considering delisting,the supply chain can obtain more profits.The optimal delisting time can make the supply chain gain more benefits than the conventional delisting time.Improving the innovation degree can accelerate the delisting of original products,improve the imitation degree,improve the product diffusion speed,improve the transfer rate,and increase the supply chain profits.(4)Two kinds of delisting models based on Fisher model and Bass model are analyzed theoretically and experimentally.Two models can verify the existence of the best delisting point of the original product,which can make the supply chain gain more benefits.Compared with Fisher model,Bass model is more practical and has more reference value for supply chain management.The research results of this paper enrich the theoretical system of product life cycle management and will provide theoretical guidance for the decision of delisting products in the supply chain.
