In recent years, social incidents caused by food safety quality problems emerge in endlessly, resulting in extremely bad social impact. In addition to the strong resistance and criticism of relevant enterprises and brands from all walks of life, food quality and safety has also aroused widespread concern and reflection of consumers. How can we effectively eliminate similar incidents? How can food safety be guaranteed to the maximum extent?Vegetables,as one of the essential dishes on the table, are closely related to the health of consumers. In recent years, safe and low toxic green vegetables have been continuously sought after by consumers. Therefore, the safe drug use behavior of vegetable farmers has been widely concerned by the academic circles. From the perspective of behavioral economics, this paper investigates the effects of individual characteristics, policy environment, subjective cognition and evaluation of vegetable farmers, and behavior of pesticide purchasing ring, pesticide application and pesticide safety interval on the safe drug use behavior of vegetable farmers. This paper first reviews the literature at home and abroad, and finds that the predecessors lack the literature to analyze the behavior of vegetable farmers from the perspective of behavioral economics. Then,it expounds the related concepts and the theoretical basis of behavioral economics involved in this paper. Then,it puts forward the influencing factors that may affect the safety of vegetable farmers' drug use behavior and constructs the theoretical model.Based on the design of the questionnaire and the development of Hainan Province's survey, descriptive statistics were made on the collected data, and the general characteristics and phenomena of vegetable farmers'drug use behavior in Hainan Province were found. Then, the data from Hainan Province were processed and analyzed by using binary logistic regression model and relevant statistical analysis software, and the empirical results were obtained and analyzed. The conclusion of this study is drawn from the results of sex statistical analysis and empirical analysis. The results showed that:firstly, the higher the income of vegetable farmers, the more inclined to unsafe drug use behavior;secondly, vegetable farmers' self-control consciousness had significant differences in the application link and the safety interval link, only the application link's self-control consciousness had an impact on safe drug use behavior;thirdly, vegetable farmers showed risk aversion characteristics when facing risk selection, but had a negative impact on safety use.Fourthly, the herd effect of vegetable farmers is reflected in the process of purchasing and applying pesticides, but only the herd effect of purchasing can affect the safe drug use behavior of vegetable farmers, and the impact is positive.Fifthly, vegetable farmers' self-beliefs are reflected in the process of purchasing pesticides and applying pesticides, but the safe drug use of vegetable farmers is practiced.Sixth, the altruistic psychology of vegetable growers also shows that vegetable growers are "limited rationality",but it has no significant impact on their safe drug use behavior.Seventh, vegetable growers'awareness of safe drug use, their evaluation of green pesticides, and their sale of vegetables and vegetables as the same kind of pesticide have a positive impact on vegetable growers' safe drug use.Eighth the policy environment of safe drug use in Hainan Province is poor, but vegetable farmers prefer to use green pesticides under the circumstances of green pesticide subsidies and pesticide residue detection and supervision mechanism. Therefore,in view of the above research conclusions, this paper calls on the government to actively pay attention to farmers' psychological awareness, strengthen training in safe drug use, provide technical guidance for safe drug use, implement green pesticide subsidy policy, and build a monitoring mechanism for the detection of agricultural residues.
