Based on the analysis of domestic and foreign scholars' M&A and performance evaluation literatures,this paper takes the Jinjiang Hotel's M&A of Plateno Hotel as the research object and conducts a case study of M&A performance evaluation.The case study is based on the basic information,main business scope,ownership structure and background of M&A,payment method,motivation analysis and transaction valuation of Jinjiang Hotel and Plateno Hotel,using the balanced scorecard method from the financial level,customer level,internal operational process level and the learning and growth four levels evaluated the performance of Jin Jiang hotels before and after the M&A.The results show that Jinjiang Hotel Company has not significantly improved its financial indicators,and even has a slight decline in certain levels;it has added hotel brands at the customer level and built a predetermined platform to provide customers with better service options and lower prices,and has always maintained high service satisfaction in the chain hotel industry;achieved long-term improvement in product innovation,service improvement,business optimization,management improvement,etc.in the internal operation process;In learning and growth levels,through group learning,employee competencies increased,empowerment,motivation,and employee collaboration have played a more important role.The study also found that Jinjiang Hotel also acquired a number of companies before and after the acquisition of Plateno Group,such as the French Louvre Group,thus arranging foreign hotel companies,which will also become a influencing factor in the performance of Jinjiang Hotels,which may make the analysis of the performance of mergers and acquisitions produces deviations.The reduction of short-term performance in hotel M&A business is normal.It should focus on the strategic development and long-term layout of the company,and the merger and acquisition can increase the marketing channel and reduce the ordering cost.
