The Plan And Market Controversy In Marxist Economic Tradition And Its Inspiration

Since Marx put forward the planned nature of socialist economy and the unplanned nature of capitalist economy,the debate over whether to implement a planned economy or a market economy in a socialist country has been in constant trouble,and China is a socialist country,the relationship between the plan and the market has also been the focus of debate in our country.At first,it was generally believed that market economy was synonymous with capitalist countries,and socialist countries should implement planned economy.However,historical practice has proved that the simple implementation of planned economy in socialist countries will inevitably expose many social problems.This paper attempts to get inspiration from the combination of socialism and market economy by reviewing and analyzing the development of the relationship between plan and market in the internal history of Marxist economics.The first part is to analyze some theories about the plan and market of the socialist society,which is left by Marx and Engels.Then we will analyze the Controversies of the two issues of Early Soviet.The main representatives of this period were Bukharin and Preobrazhensky,and the two of them represented the opposing two sides.The theoretical basis of their analytical methods and their impact on economic policy will be explained in this paper.The third part is to analyze the debate of The Socialist Calculation.The fourth part is an analysis of the social nature of the Soviet Union and the relationship between the plan and the market.The fifth part is an analysis of the recent debate about market socialism,and attempts to list the issues that remain to be solved in the dispute between the plan and the market.Finally,some enlightenments are obtained according to the related discussion of the previous article:First,the existing socialist relations of production are not based on the society envisaged by Marx,but also need the market to allocate resources effectively.Second,the socialist market economy is a breakthrough to the market socialism in its theory and practice.Third,socialist countries should choose their own development path according to their own national conditions,and should make full use of market economy.Fourth,the contradiction between "plan" and "market" is not the basic contradiction of socialist countries,and the existence of market is not equal to the restoration of capitalism.Fifth,The plan and market controversy in Marxist Economic tradition has a guiding role to establish and improve the socialist market economy with Chinese characteristics.
