Research On The Influence Of Social Capital On Farmers' Land Transfer Behavior

The transfer of land contracting and management rights is an inevitable choice to realize scale operation and agricultural modernization.Is typical of human society in our country,there are significant relationship "pattern of difference sequence",in the process of land circulation,in addition to most scholars advocate formal institutional factors,as an informal institutional relationship is playing a role of social network,social capital will affect the farmer's land to behavior,to scale is worth in-depth study.In this study,638 rural households in 25 counties of jiangxi province were selected as research objects,and the theory of property rights and the theory of scale economy were taken as the theoretical basis.Based on the heterogeneity of rural households' social capital,OLS regression model was used to empirically analyze the impact of rural households' social capital on land transfer.By referring to relevant literatures,the author selected the status of householder party member,village cadre,the number of household non-agricultural employment and the number of participants in agricultural technical training as the proxy variables of social capital,and discussed the impact of social capital heterogeneity of peasant households on the scale of land transfer of peasant households under different scale situations.The research results show that: household head party member,village cadre status,the number of participants in agricultural technical training have a significant positive impact on the scale of farmers' land transfer,the number of household non-agricultural employment has a negative impact on the scale of farmers' land transfer to a certain extent,but the results are not significant.In order to better verify the influencing factors of land transfer,transaction cost was introduced as an intermediary variable.According to the regression results of the model,social capital has a significant influence on the mediating variables,and the influence direction is consistent with the research direction of the basic regression model mentioned above.Therefore,social capital not only has a direct impact on the scale of land transfer,but also has an indirect impact through transaction costs.In terms of control variables,mechanical value,contracted land area,hired wages,and the topography of the village have significant effects on the scale of land transfer.Based on the above conclusions,the following enlightenment can be obtained :(1)in the process of land transfer,structural social capital still plays an important role,which indirectly reflects the imperfection of the land transfer market in this region,and the land transfer information platform has not yet been built;(2)social capital has both direct and indirect effects on land transfer;(3)social capital can be regarded as an important variable to measure the perfection of rural land transfer market.
