| Employees’ job burnout not only affects their physical and mental health,but also reduces their work efficiency and enthusiasm,thus affecting enterprise performance.This paper mainly studies the assembly line worker’ job burnout and its influencing factors,which not only can solve the production management issues in assembly line,but also improve the production efficiency of manufacturing enterprises in China as to achieve the strategic target of being a manufacturing power by 2025.The literatures indicated that no one analyzed the causes of job burnout from the comprehensive perspective of individual,work and organizational environment,etc.Therefore,this paper firstly sorts out the factors related to workers’ burnout in the distribution cabinets assembly line based on the human factors engineering theory and the basic theories of burnout,then identifies and screens key factors by DEMATEL method.Finally,a conceptual research model is constructed and verified through empirical analysis.The main research results and innovations of this paper are as follows:(1)This study analyzes the factors affecting the burnout of assembly line workers from four aspects of individual,machinery,task and environment,and four key influencing factors are selected by DEMATEL method.(2)This research proposes hypotheses and constructs a research model of job burnout among power distribution cabinet assembly line workers.Based on the previous domestic and foreign measurement scale,this study developed four scales and modified through pre investigation,namely the job satisfaction scale,the humanmachine interaction scale,the workload scale as well as the salary and benefit scale.(3)SPSS22.0 software is used to analysis the sample data.The result shows that 6% of assembly line workers feel highly burned,22% of assembly line workers feel moderate burned and the detection rate of mild burnout is 53%.Difference analysis of individual variables indicates that only marital status and academic qualifications have significant differences on job burnout.Married people have a higher sense of personal accomplishment.Comparing to the employees with technical secondary school degree and bachelor degree or above,the workers with college degree feel the greatest sense of accomplishment.(4)The path analysis by SmartPLS makes clear that job satisfaction,humanmachine interaction,workload,salary and benefits all have the significant impacts on burnout.Job satisfaction negatively significantly affects the emotional exhaustion and cynicism;Human-machine interaction negatively significantly affects all dimensions of job burnout;Workload is positive correlated with emotional exhaustion and cynicism;Salary and benefits have the significant negative effect on the low personal accomplishment.Combined with the results of empirical research,this paper proposes improvement suggestions for corporate or individual to prevent and reduce the burnout from job satisfaction,human-machine interaction,workload,salary and benefits four aspects.This research broadens the scope of job burnout and applies human factors engineering theory to analyze the mechanism of job burnout of assembly line workers in the power distribution cabinet manufacturing enterprises from multiple dimensions.The results of this study provides a basis for enterprises to improve work environment,optimize salary and management,and furthermore,these findings have important practical significance for discrete manufacturing companies or individuals to prevent and reduce burnout,improve work efficiency and enhance business efficiency. |
