In the 1980 s,China's construction machinery manufacturing industry has just started.In just a few decades,the construction machinery industry has risen rapidly,forming a relatively complete engineering machinery manufacturing system.With the development of China's economy and the increasing competition in the machinery manufacturing industry,enterprises are under tremendous pressure.How to meet the changes in market demand,maintain its competitive advantage,increase market share,reduce production costs,and high-quality order is becoming more and more important.This paper first introduces the P product assembly line of Company X,and clarifies the assembly process and station and personnel allocation.Then,using the basic industrial engineering method to analyze the current situation of P product assembly production,divide each station to carry out the operation unit,use the stopwatch time measurement method to determine the standard operation time of each station,find the bottleneck station,and calculate the current line balance.Related indicators.Finally,an optimization improvement plan is proposed for the P product assembly line.Improve on-site tools and improve on-site management.Improve the mechanized equipment of the assembly line to ensure safe production on site and improve work efficiency.Calculate the improved production line balance related indicators,and compare and confirm the improvement effect.By improving the bottleneck process time of the post production line,it was reduced from 8053 s to 5127 s.The production line balance rate increased from 66.49% before the improvement to 88.31%.The difference in beats between the stations was reduced,and the standard operating time tends to be consistent,which reduced the line smoothness index from 3418 to 2303.In terms of production costs,the main reason is to reduce labor costs,and the total number of production lines has dropped from 62 to 51.Through the improvement activities of the assembly line,the stability of the production line is maintained while improving the efficiency,and the motivation for continuous improvement of the technicians is enhanced,which is of great significance to the development of the company.
