Research On The Construction Path Of Characteristic Towns In Ningxia Under The Industrial Path Dependence

Since the reform and opening up,China's economy has maintained medium rapid growth during the long term.However,the past economic development mode has begun to show its drawbacks because of the change of social demands.In the new era,all regions are faced with the important task of transforming and upgrading the regional economic structure and optimizing the industrial structure.Characteristic towns are major strategic initiatives to expand emerging areas and foster new economic growth points,promote industrial transformation,enhance the core competitiveness of the regional economy and sustainable development capabilities.Ningxia is located in the west of China,with insufficient resource endowment and low industrial structure.In this "new normal" period of the economy,it is a major problem of facing Ningxia's economic development that is how to seize opportunities and use characteristic town construction,promote space optimization industrial upgrading,accelerate the transformation of economic growth momentum and growth moden.Based on the existing research and Ningcia resource endowment,this paper summarizes the experience and builds the industrial evaluation index of the characteristic towns in Ningxia.The entropy method and TOPSIS comprehensive evaluation method are used to conduct empirical research on Ningxia industry,analyze the status of industrial development and select the industiy suitable for the construction of characteristic towns,use the path dependence theory to establish the construction path of Ningxia characteristic towns.Through theoretical and empirical analysis,the paper draws the following conclusions:Firstly,Ningxia relies too much on traditional industries in the construction of characteristic towns,but has insufficient attention to the financial,information,and high-end equipment manufacturing industries.Ningxia should break the path dependence,improve the efficiency of resource allocation and foster emerging industries;Secondly,Based on resource endowment and industrial development needs,Ningxia should adopt a gradual development model to rationally plan the construction of characteristic towns,promote industrial structure optimization and regional economic transformation;Thirdly,the development of characteristic towns in Ningxia also has path dependence,following the evolution of the "initial stage-growth stage-maturity stage-new path industry stage".In the process of creation,we should pay attention to innovation and dynamic supervision so that the characteristic town is healthy,stable and sustainable.
