| With the rapid advancement of urbanization in China,the total energy consumption continues to rise,of which more than two-thirds of energy consumption is urban energy consumption.Therefore,urban energy efficiency determines the overall level of energy utilization in China.The irrational use of urban energy will not only cause a lot of energy waste,but also exacerbate environmental pollution,seriously hinder the normal life of residents and urban economic development.Improving urban energy efficiency has great significance.The basis for improving the quality of urban energy use is that scientifically and accurately measuring urban energy efficiency,understanding the current status and trends of urban energy efficiency.Further research on the factors affecting energy efficiency can better clarify the direction of energy efficiency improvement,and thus develop a sound energy policy,which plays an important role in improving urban energy efficiency.The paper carries research from two aspects:(1)Analyzing the urban energy efficiency.Under the framework of the total factor,analyzing the input and output factors of urban energy efficiency and construct the urban energy efficiency measurement index system.By the SBM model of undesired output to carry out the full element energy efficiency of bound environment and unbound environment for 283 prefecture-level cities in China from 2009 to 2016,and decomposed using the Malmquist productivity index.The differences and changes in urban energy efficiency are discussed according to different dimensions and urban distribution.(2)Analyzing the factors that affect urban energy efficiency.Based on the energy efficiency measurement,the spatial distribution pattern and spatial correlation analysis of energy efficiency are analyzed by Moran index.The spatial panel model is used to analyze the influencing factors of urban energy efficiency.Studying urban energy efficiency affected factors according to the different dimensions.The main conclusions are as follows: the energy efficiency differences among cities in China are large;the energy efficiency under environmental constraints is relatively low;the energy efficiency inefficient areas are concentrated in the central and western regions,and the medium efficiency areas are concentrated in the east;total factor productivity is positive.Growth production technology changes play a key role in total factor productivity;energy efficiency levels show positive spatial autocorrelation,with significant agglomeration effects,cold regions formed in the central and western regions,and stable hotspots in the eastern regions There is a significant spatial dependence between the energy efficiency of cities in China and the energy efficiency of neighboring cities;the level of economic development,industrial structure,government intervention,urbanization,and marketization are significant factors affecting urban energy efficiency;Resource abundance and different energy efficiency levels have different factors affecting urban energy efficiency.It is important to propose targeted countermeasures to promote urban energy development,by studying urban energy efficiency and its influencing factors. |
