M&A(merger and acquisition)is a complex economic phenomenon,and the implementation process generally needs to go through the stages of preparation,negotiation,internal integration,external integration,etc.,while the failure of merger and acquisition is often caused by the conflict between the acquirer and the acquired party in the process of redeployment of integrated management resources.From the perspective of business demand,the integration and coordination of supply chain are the most important in enterprise merger and acquisition,and the high degree of coordination among various departments in the supply chain link is the necessary condition to achieve the synergy effect.In order to avoid the internal and external supply chain integration being separate and build an excellent internal and external integration supply chain is the most important case for every enterprise to study,especially research in supply chain integration and optimization under the background of frequent mergers and reorganizations of enterprises,which will be more attractive and substantive significance.The paper aims to discuss the integration of supply chain under the background of horizontal merger and acquisition and chooses R company as the research object.R company provides storage solutions for global users and plays a pivotal role in the industry and market.After the merger and reorganization,it faces many integration problems,especially for supply chain integration.During the period of merger and acquisition,some problems and risks occurred in R company,such as declined company's sales,increased customer complaints,product supply shortage and excess,unsound suppliers' integration.Combining with the related enterprise and supply chain integration theory,this paper deeply analyzes the supply chain problems and discusses their reasons from two aspects of R company's internal and external supply chain integration.The internal supply chain integration includes the strategic integration,organizational structure adjustment,human resource integration,process standardization,culture seeking common ground while reposing differences and the corresponding inventory management strategy;the external supply chain integration is mainly reflected in the establishment of strategic partners,as well as third-party logistics and supplier strategy.At the same time,in order to ensure the supply chain integration smoothly,this paper provides the specific implementation process and related resource guarantee.This case study can help solve the problems existing in the supply chain integration of R company after merger and acquisition to a certain extent and has practical reference value.In addition,through the analysis of this case,it can better supplement the study of merger and acquisition integration theory and make it more comprehensive and specific.
