With the development of economic globalization, trade liberalization has been a hot topic in recent years. The influence of trade liberalization on a country's industrial agglomeration is also one of the research topics. With the advancement of trade liberalization, the domestic industrial distribution pattern has been continuously changed, and the degree of industrial agglomeration has become increasingly prominent.Under the background of trade liberalization, the regional differences in industrial agglomeration can provide a reference for China's trade policy and regional development policy. At present, the literature on the regional differences in industrial agglomeration of trade liberalization is generally based on the significant reduction of tariffs to reflect the degree of trade liberalization, and to compare the changes before and after a country's trade liberalization policy. As the flow of production factors between countries has become increasingly active, the impact of trade liberalization on regional industrial distribution has become increasingly apparent. The phenomenon of industrial agglomeration has not only appeared in developed countries, but also in developing countries. This paper hopes that by analyzing the impact of trade liberalization on regional differences in industrial agglomeration,it can provide a useful reference for China to rationally use industrial factors and geographical changes,to accelerate the development of industrial clusters, and to enhance the international competitiveness of industries..This paper combines the literature research method, qualitative analysis method and empirical research method, and takes a systematic review of relevant literature and theory.Combined with the current economic situation and the status of China's manufacturing industry, from a multi-angle analysis of the relationship between trade liberalization and regional differences in manufacturing industry agglomeration, the paper explores its mechanism of action, and then put forward corresponding policy recommendations. After analyzing the factual characteristics of trade liberalization and industrial agglomeration, this paper analyzes the regional differences of trade liberalization on industrial agglomeration from four aspects: trade cost effect, technology spillover effect, market expansion effect and factor accumulation effect.Based on the above analysis, taking the manufacturing industry as an example, this paper starts with the industrial agglomeration phenomenon of regional industrial layout.Using a tariff data that reflects trade liberalization as a quantitative empirical model for measuring the variables of trade liberalization, the paper conducts an empirical study of the impact of trade liberalization on regional differences in manufacturing industry agglomeration. From the empirical results of this paper,it can be seen that the impact of trade liberalization on the industrial agglomeration of manufacturing shows regional differences.Specifically, trade liberalization has the most obvious impact on the industrial agglomeration of manufacturing industries in the eastern and central regions, and the impact on the western region is not obvious. It can be seen that trade liberalization has led manufacturing industries to gather in the eastern coastal regions. Finally, this paper proposes relevant policy recommendations from five aspects.First, the western region can use its own resource advantages to develop border trade.Second, formulate a policy of regional development balance.Third, make good use of the foreign trade's gain mechanism to improve the level of industrial agglomeration.Fourth, provide policy support to support the development of the central and western regions.Fifth, improve the legal and regulatory system. The main research contents of this paper are as follows.Chapter 1,Introduction.Briefly expounding the research background of the article, etc.,in the context of trade liberalization, the extent of our participation in the international division of labor is gradually deepening. At present, our level of trade liberalization is still improving, industrial activities are more active, and enterprises can also obtain more opportunities from the international market, attract the gathering of various production factors, and promote the formation of industrial agglomeration and economic growth.Chapter 2,literature review,it sorts out and summarizes the aspects of trade liberalization, regional differences in industrial agglomeration, and regional differences in trade agglomeration.Chapter 3,the analysis of characteristic facts and theory,it mainly includes the following three aspects: first, analyzing the history, characteristic facts of trade liberalization;second, expounding the status of industrial agglomeration;third, making a preliminary observation of the relationship between them and drawing some typical factual conclusions. It mainly analyzes the impact mechanism of trade liberalization on regional differences in manufacturing industry agglomeration.Chapter 4,empirical analysis. On the basis of the previous theoretical analysis, the measurement model is set,the variables are defined, and the calculation method of the variables and the acquisition of the data are determined. The results of the regression were empirically analyzed and tested.Chapter 5,conclusions,policy recommendations.Through theoretical analysis and empirical research, the main conclusion of this paper is that the impact of trade liberalization on the industrial agglomeration of manufacturing shows regional differences.Specifically, trade liberalization has a significant impact on the industrial agglomeration of manufacturing industries in the eastern and western regions, and the impact on the central region is not obvious. It can be concluded that trade liberalization has made the manufacturing industry close to foreign markets. Finally, the paper proposes relevant policy recommendations from six aspects. On the one hand, the western region can use its own resource advantages to carry out some border trade. In addition, the state should formulate a policy of rational regional development and promote coordinated development between regions.Make use of the foreign trade gain mechanism to improve the level of industrial agglomeration. We must further improve the level of marketization in China, and use the status quo of regional industrial agglomeration to enhance international competitiveness. Finally, the development of laws and regulations in China is still not perfect, and a sound legal and regulatory system should be established. There have been many articles on trade liberalization and industrial agglomeration in China. This paper attempts to innovate in research perspectives. This paper attempts to analyze the industrial agglomeration of China's manufacturing industry and further study the impact of trade liberalization on the regional differences in manufacturing industry agglomeration.Since the calculation of the EG index requires a large number of calculation processes, the classification of the manufacturing industry has been fine-tuned in 2002,so the calculation results may have some errors. In addition, the measurement process of this paper divides China into three parts: the eastern part, the middle part and the western part.It is difficult to obtain the data of the urban industry. If it is specific to the city level, the result will be more accurate. In future research,we will continue to work hard to improve various deficiencies.
