Research On The Impact Of Industrial Transformation And Upgrading On High-quality Economic Development

The 19 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China proposed that China's economy has turned to a stage of high-quality development.How to achieve the transformation of old and new kinetic energy and promote the high-quality development of the economy is a hot topic in current economic theory research.The negative externalities of the past extensive and high energy-consuming developments that have caused imbalances in China's economic development and deterioration of the ecological environment have become more prominent.At present,the oversupply of low-end capacity in China leads to slow sales of products;high-end production capacity is insufficient to meet market supply.The transformation and upgrading of the industry is an important way for China to achieve high-quality economic development in the new era.Studying the impact of China's industrial transformation and upgrading on the high-quality development of the economy in the new era,which can enrich the theoretical connotation of the transformation and upgrading of the industry and the high-quality development of the economy.It is helpful to analyze the actual problems of China's the transformation and upgrading of the industry,and to improve the quality of economic development,which is of great significance to the long-term stable development of China's economy.Through the analysis of relevant domestic and foreign theories and literatures,this paper defines the connotation of the transformation and upgrading of the industry and the high-quality development of the economy.Based on the five development concepts,the quality of economic development is measured from five aspects: economic quality,innovation,structural optimization,green development,and livelihood sharing.The principal component analysis method was used to establish an evaluation index system for high-quality economic development.Calculating the high-quality development index of China's economy from 2003 to 2017,the results show that the quality of economic development in all regions is generally on the rise,but the fluctuation is obvious.The economic high-quality development index in the eastern part of 2003-2005,central and western China from 2003 to 2011 was negative,and the quality of economic development is relatively low.Taking the panel data of 30 provinces,municipalities and autonomous regions in China from 2003 to 2017 as a sample,the industrial transformation and upgrading will be measured from two aspects: rationalization of industrial structure and advanced industrial structure.Using the system GMM to empirically test the impact of industrial transformation and upgrading on high-quality economic development,the results show that industrial transformation and upgrading have positive effects on high-quality economic development.Whether at the national level or at the provincial level,industrial transformation and upgrading have a positive effect on the quality of economic development,but the degree of promotion is quite different,and the promotion effect to the central region is the most significant.Finally,based on theoretical analysis and empirical test,this paper proposes countermeasures to promote high-quality economic development.
