With the manufacturing cost in China keep on increasing,the electronic OEMs which are characterized by short life cycle,quickly changed environment and high labor intensity face the terrible competition environment.If those kind enterprises want to win the market,they have to keep continuous improvement on production flexibility,quick response for the customer with low cost.Lean production as an excellent production way can help electric OEMs to eliminate the waste,cut down the cost and increase their benefit.In this article,electronic OEM L is chosen as research objective.Firstly,analysis the outside and inside problems for L company and choose lean production to make improvements.Secondly,adopt value stream mapping to analysis the current cover glass manufacture processes,find problems by depicting the current value stream mapping and burst value stream mapping,then make the improvement plan and future value steam mapping,set the target of lean optimization.Thirdly,use lean tools to make some improvements.For example,introduce cell production to increase production flexibility,use single minute exchange of die(SMED)to short the exchange time,increase bottleneck stations' efficiency and cut down WIP by introducing WIP control system.After those optimizations,L company's cost has been cut down 5% cost,lead time has been reduced 38% and its market competition has been increased.
