With the development of the "Internet +" era, various industries need to respond rapidly to the changes of the market. The shortening product life cycle makes more and more managers pay more attention to the time perspective in the process of managing employees.Internet makes people's time more "fragmented",and at the same time makes the work and entertainment gradually confused, which easily increases the waste of resources in enterprises. So can a leader who rationally allocates employees' time resources help reduce the cyberloafing of employees? How does this effect work? When employees have higher impression management motivation, will the same path have different effects?Based on the job demands-resources model and ego depletion theory, this study constructs a moderated mediating model of temporal leadership influencing cyberloafing which takes emotional engagement as the mediator and impression management(include: self-promotion and ingratiation)as the moderator.Through reviewing a large number of domestic and foreign literatures in recent years, this study puts forward relevant hypotheses, including the direct effect of temporal leadership on employees' cyberloafing, the indirect effect of temporal leadership on cyberloafing via emotional engagement,as well as the influence of different dimensions of impression management on the effect of emotional engagement on cyberloafing. In order to examine the hypotheses, this study adopts questionnaire survey method to carry out empirical test.253 valid questionnaires were finally collected from employees of enterprises in the form of electronic questionnaires. The sample coverage is universal and extensive. In addition, the scales have passed the common method bias test and have good reliability and validity. The research uses regression analysis method by SPSS 22.0 to make empirical analysis and support the hypotheses. The findings show that temporal leadership can reduce the occurrence of employees' cyberloafing through increasing employees` emotional engagement.Specifically, with the improvement of time leadership, the emotional engagement of employees increases, which reduces the employees` cyberloafing. With the improvement of both self-promotion and ingratiation, the negative effect between emotional engagement and cyberloafing will be weakened. Therefore,in order to weaken cyberloafing of employees, enterprises should employ middle and senior leaders who can help employees allocate time resources rationally, strengthen the training of managers' time management ability.Managers should establish a reasonable staff incentive mechanism, strengthen team building, establish and strengthen feedback and communication channels between supervisors and subordinates, and pay attention to the fairness of the distribution of employees' work process and results. The results of this study have theoretical and practical implications.
