Study On The Profit Model Of Logistics Park Under The "Internet +" Strategy

The logistics industry is an essential,strategic industry in the national economy.Since the State Council of China issued Adjustment and Development Plan of Logistics Industry in 2009,the logistics industry has been playing an important role in industrial transformation and upgrade in China.As promoted by the government as well as the market,a large number of logistics parks have been built all over the country.However,many problems occured in development and profit making during operations of these parks.Meanwhile,with the promotion of "Internet +" strategy,the development of logistics park was facing new opportunities,thus the profit model of logistics park under the "Internet +" strategy was studied under this background.Firstly,the theories of commercial ecosystem and platform business model were analyzed,the concepts of profit model of logistics park and "Internet +" strategy were defined.Then the development and profitability of various logistics parks in China were described,focusing on the service characteristics and revenue sources of these parks,based on which the major problems of the existing profit models used by the logistics parks are then summarized.Secondly,in order to solve the existing problem of the logistics park profit model,operational management mode was down to the root cause.Based on the analysis of the operation management idea of traditional logistics park,a new operation mode: "Internet + logistics park" ecosystem was proposed with the imitating of the constitution and operation mechanism of natural ecosystem,which was analyzed from four aspects: the ecosystem internal coordination,element flow mechanism,relationships between core members,and the relationship between the ecosystem and environment.The traditional operational management mode of logistics park was compared with the operation mode of "Internet + logistics park" ecosystem,the development process of which involved formation,development,maturing and upgrade.Thirdly,logistics parks using the "Internet + logistics park" operation mode played different roles in the ecosystem,based on which five typical profit models of logistics parks under the "Internet +" strategy were extracted,including logistics integration,platform operation,resource integration,service delivery and chain reproduction.The characteristics,roadmap,main methods and profit barriers of these profit models were provided.Finally,J logistics park was taken as an example to made a case study on the operation mechanism and profit model of the logistics park ecosystem under the "Internet +" strategy.Based on system dynamics theory,the future direction of J logistics park was made a judgment through the modeling and simulation,the result showed that the J logistics park should balance the online services with offline services and then gradually transfer the development focus to services on the online platform.
