Research On Regional Coordinated Development In Jiangsu Province

Since the reform and opening,urbanization has been accompanied by China's social and economic development for 40 years.China's urbanization rate ranges from10.64% to 58.52%,and GDP ranges from 367.87 billion yuan to 82.717 trillion yuan.There are temporal and spatial differences in the coordination of urban and regional development in different regions.For this purpose,we attempt to take Jiangsu province as the research area and use the index data of Jiangsu statistical yearbook and China urban statistical yearbook in 2000,2005,2010 and 2015,so we could analyze the development level of Jiangsu province,and the coordination between city and regional development in Jiangsu province.So we can verify whether the development coordination between cities and their administrative areas is consistent at different scales.First of all,based on three levels: provincial capital city,prefecture-level city and county city,we select four indicators,such as household registration at the end of the year,total crop planting area,tax revenue and built-up area.The entropy weight method is used to evaluate the level of urban development.In addition,for provincial capital city and prefecture-level city,we use entropy weight method to evaluate the development level of these cities from the level of infrastructure modernization,economic development and public service level.Second,from the aspects of economy,resource environment and social subsystem,with the help of the entropy weight method,the development level of the three scales of provincial-level regions,prefecture-level cities and counties is evaluated and analyzed.In the end,based on coupling-degree algorithm and comprehensive coordination index calculation,the coupling and coordination degree between county and county,prefecture-level city and its administrative jurisdiction,Nanjing city and Jiangsu province were studied.The main conclusions are as follows.The overall development level of Nanjing city presents a stable trend.The development level of Suzhou city and Wuxi city is in a leading position among the prefecture-level cities in Jiangsu province,while the development level of Suqian city is at the end.The development level of the county urban areas shows a growing trend as a whole,only Guanyun county and Yizheng city show a declining trend.The development level of provincial-level regions shows a trend of steady growth.The administrative jurisdiction areas of Suzhou and Wuxi have maintained relatively strong development,but the development of Lianyungang city and Suqian city's administrative jurisdiction area is relatively backward.In addition,the gap between the less developed counties and the developed counties has been enlarged.Such as county and county,prefecture-level cities and their administrative jurisdictions,Nanjing and Jiangsu province,there is a close and positive interaction between them at the level of development.Moreover,the development of Nanjing and Jiangsu province is coordinated with high quality.The development of Suzhou and Wuxi and their administrative areas are in a state of coordination or primary coordination.While the development of Suqian city and its administrative areas is in a state of extreme imbalance or serious imbalance.In addition to the county-level cities under the jurisdiction of Suzhou and Wuxi,the development of counties and regions in Jiangsu province is almost all in the state of extreme imbalance or serious imbalance.The main reason is that with the larger scale,there is an increasing amount of labor,capital,technology and resources in the region.The growth pole drives the development of its surrounding region with the diffusion effect,so it could form a high level of coupling and coordination between cities and regions.Nanjing,Suzhou and Wuxi respectively represent the two relatively developed metropolitan circles of Jiangsu province.At the same time,it also shows that the development of metropolitan areas is the only way to urbanization.The smaller the scale,the more uncoordinated it is.At the county level,the integration of labor,capital,technology and resources will become more and more difficult.The obstacle of one of the factors can cause the extreme imbalance or serious imbalance between the county towns and the counties.As a result,the development of county economy is relatively restrained.
