At present,China's economy has begun to shift from high-speed development to high-quality development.The way of economic growth urgently needs to be upgraded from factor-driven to innovation-driven.One of the necessary conditions for innovation drive is to further increase the intensity of technological innovation,which is of great significance to the transformation of China's economic growth mode from factor-driven to comprehensive innovation drive,and is equally significant for China's important economic growth region,the Yangtze River Economic Belt.The Yangtze River Economic Belt is one of the three major development areas in China,and its healthy development affects the healthy development of China's entire economy and society.As an important support for economic development,industrial structure is self-evident for the importance of China's economic development.Therefore,it is particularly important to study the impact of technological innovation in the Yangtze River Economic Belt on the upgrading of industrial structure.This paper aims to study the impact of different technological innovation paths in the Yangtze River Economic Belt on the upgrading of industrial structure.The first chapter analyzes the concrete connotation and measurement methods of technological innovation,industrial structure and industrial structure upgrading on the basis of previous studies,and briefly introduces the theoretical basis of technological innovation and industrial structure related to the research content of this paper.On the basis of the theory of the first chapter,the second chapter discusses the mechanism of technological innovation to promote the upgrading of industrial structure from the three aspects of industrial technology level,demand structure and factor supply conditions,and theoretically demonstrates how technological innovation can promote the upgrading of regional industrial structure.To provide a theoretical basis for the empirical research below.The third chapter firstly elaborates on the scope,development strategy and development status of the Yangtze River Economic Belt.Then it uses the specific data to quantitatively analyze the current situation of technological innovation and industrial structure in the Yangtze River Economic Belt.The fourth chapter selects the empirical analysis of the impact of technological innovation on the upgrading of industrial structure in the data of the 11 provinces and cities of the Yangtze River Economic Belt from 1996 to 2016.The empirical part uses the dynamic panel GMM model to study the impact of industrial innovation and industrial structure on the three technological innovation paths of independentinnovation,technology introduction and imitation innovation.Finally,in the conclusion part,the main conclusions are drawn from the results of the previous research.Combined with China's national conditions,it puts forward policy recommendations to improve the level of technological innovation in the Yangtze River Economic Belt and promote the upgrading of industrial structure.The main conclusions of this paper are as follows:(1)The economic development level of the Yangtze River Economic Belt has been growing year by year,just like the national economic development level.However,the economic development level of its internal 11 provinces and cities has always had a large gap.(2)During the period of 1996-2016,the level of independent innovation and imitation innovation in the Yangtze River Economic Belt increased year by year,while the level of technology introduction declined year by year.(3)The industrial structure level of the Yangtze River Economic Belt has been continuously upgraded in recent years.However,whether the level of industrial structure rationalization or industrial structure is higher than the national average,further optimization and upgrading are needed.(4)Different technological innovation paths in the Yangtze River Economic Belt have different impacts on industrial structure upgrading.The innovative way of independent innovation promotes the rationalization and advancedization of the two aspects of industrial structure upgrading;the innovative way of technology introduction is conducive to the continuous upgrading of industrial structure,but the impact on the rationalization of industrial structure is not significant;The innovative approach will promote the rationalization of industrial structure,but it will have a negative impact on the advanced industrial structure.(5)From the perspective of control variables,the increase in openness can promote the rationalization of industrial structure,but it has a negative effect on the advanced industrial structure.Fixed asset investment has a negative impact on the rationalization of industrial structure and the upgrading of industrial structure.The influence of government involvement in economic level on the rationalization of industrial structure and the upgrading of industrial structure is not significant.Finally,this paper proposes relevant policy recommendations based on the research conclusions.(1)Strive to improve the technological innovation level of the Yangtze River Economic Belt from the perspectives of input,output,technological innovation environment and diffusion of technological innovation.(2)Select an appropriate technological innovation path to promote industrial structure upgrading.(3)Strive to promote the rational development of industrial structure and theadvanced development of industrial structure.(4)Strengthen regional cooperation,give play to the role of the city in attracting tie,and promote the balanced development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt region.(5)Improve the technical content of imported trade products,optimize the export structure,optimize the investment environment,and improve the quality of investment.
