The Impact Of Trade Facilitation On China's Export Trade

In the context of this year's increase in import tariffs in the United States,some invisible trade barriers are increasing,such as cumbersome customs procedures,increased transaction costs,etc.They are all trade inefficiencies that hinder international trade activities.These factors can also be called "non-convenience of trade." Nowadays,these factors have had a significant adverse impact on international trade activities.In order to cope with this invisible barrier,countries are actively committed to trade facilitation.Undoubtedly,The improvement of the level of trade facilitation will not only make trade partners more convenient to carry out trade activities,but also help to establish a fair,efficient and harmonious international trade environment.Therefore,trade facilitation has always been a hot issue in international trade,and its research has important practical significance.This thesis takes trade facilitation as the main clue.Fifty major trading partners(regions)of China were selected.It mainly studies the impact of the improvement of trade facilitation level of trading partners of China's export trade.Firstly,it introduces the background of the topic and the significance of the topic,and comprehensively reviews the research results of scholars on the impact of trade facilitation on exports,and summarizes and sorts out the status of export trade in China in recent years.Secondly,based on the previous research methods,combined with the new connotation of trade facilitation,the trade facilitation index system was constructed.Four levels of indicators,namely port and logistics efficiency,customs environment and management,government and institutional environment,information technology and finance,are selected and refined into 18 secondary indicators.By using SPSS21.0software and principal component analysis to assign weights to 18 secondary indicators,the level of trade facilitation of China's major trading partners in 2009-2016 was calculated and compared.Then it analyzes the theoretical mechanism of trade facilitation affecting exports,and explains its impact on exports from four aspects: port and logistics efficiency,customs environment and management,government and institutional environment,information technology and finance and introduced the general factors affecting exports.Finally,the trade gravity model is established,the trade facilitation level of each country is substituted into the gravity model,and other explanatory variables are added to extend the gravity model,and the model is regressed by gradually introducing variables.Later,the major trading partner countries will be grouped back and analyzed according to different classification criteria,and the degree of influence of different trade facilitation measures on China's export trade will be analyzed.After verifying that trade facilitation has a significant positive impact on China's export trade,the article proposes policy recommendations to China and trading partners.
