In recent years,with the promotion of new industrialization and agricultural modernization,and the accelerated implementation of "mass entrepreneurship and innovation","One Belt And One Road" and other support measures,various small and medium-sized enterprises(SMEs)have developed vigorously and gradually become an important part of the national economy.Improving market share and promoting sustainable development are the core values for many SMEs.In today's knowledge economy era,using human resources to obtain development advantages is an important means for SMEs to stand out in the competitive market.As the core of human resource management,performance appraisal is worthy of attention and research in small and medium-sized enterprises.Compared with large enterprises,SMEs are characterized by small scale,simple organizational structure and few management levels.They have certain advantages in performance assessment's management,but also have many disadvantages.This leads to many problems and misunderstandings in the practice of performance appraisal in small and medium-sized enterprises,such as the imperfect appraisal system and the emphasis on the results rather than the process.Based on this research background,this paper chooses Baoding Oriental Global Travel Agency Limited Company as the representative of SMEs to conduct an in-depth study on its performance appraisal status quo.This paper firstly sorts out the relevant concepts and theories in the field of performance appraisal through literature analysis,and summarizes the research results of domestic and foreign academia in this field in recent years,which provides the relevant theoretical basis for the research of this paper.Then through the company's internal information,to understand the Baoding Oriental Global Travel Agency Limited Company's organizational structure,human resources and the current performance appraisal system.Then,questionnaire survey was used to analyze the implementation of the company's performance appraisal system,and the deficiencies of the company's performance appraisal were summarized,including: the lack of scientific performance objectives,the lack of scientific performance appraisal indicators,the lack of scientific performance appraisal process,and the lack of feedback and application of performance results.Combined with all kinds of data,it can be analyzed that the reasons for these deficiencies are mainly due to the insufficient understanding of employees on performance appraisal and the lax implementation of the company's performance appraisal system.Finally,this paper proposes a targeted performance appraisal system optimization scheme and guarantee implementation mechanism to solve the problems in the performance appraisal of Baoding Oriental Global Travel Agency Limited Company.
