Comparation Of Pastoral Agriculture And Traditional Agricultural Production Pattern In Dingxi City

In recent years,with the implementation of the national “agricultural supply side reform” and “grain reforming” policies,some townships in Anding District,Dingxi City,Gansu Province have begun to implement pastoral agricultural production pattern,develop forage planting,pasture processing and aquaculture.However,other counties in Dingxi City and some remote mountainous areas in Anding District still maintain the traditional agricultural production pattern,and the agricultural production structure has not yet been transformed.In order to optimize and upgrade the agricultural production structure,there is a need to find a better agricultural production model and promote the sustainable development of agriculture in Dingxi City.In this study,the study area and farmers were selected by key,stratified,and random sampling methods to conduct household surveys,and 80 valid questionnaires were obtained.Later,the data were statistically compiled and analyzed.Finally,comparative analysis,input — output and cost — benefit methods,and GEP(Total ecosystem production)were used to calculate the production structure,economic benefits and ecological service functions of the two agricultural production models,and the following results are obtained:(1)The traditional agricultural production pattern and the pastoral agricultural production pattern have different production structures.In order to meet the needs of household food consumption,the farmers in the traditional agricultural production pattern mainly use grain crops such as wheat and potato.In the pastoral agricultural production pattern,in order to increase household income,the farmers grow crops with high quality pasture such as silage corn and alfalfa mainly supplemented by livestock.Among the grain crops planted by farmers in the traditional pattern,the planting area of corn and wheat is larger,accounting for 39.78% and 30.49% of thetotal area,respectively.The planting area of potato and flax is relatively small,accounting for 16.94% and 8.18% of the total area,respectively.Among the crops planted by farmers in the pastoral pattern,the forages such as silage corn and alfalfa are larger,accounting for 68.25% and 24.97% of the total area,respectively,while the planting area of food crops is small,accounting for only 6.77% of the total area.(2)Pastoral agricultural production mode has better economic benefits than traditional agricultural production pattern.The net income per mu of pastoral agricultural production pattern is higher than 372.08 yuan in comparison with the traditional agricultural production pattern.The production cost per mu is lower than67.1 yuan as compared to the traditional agricultural production pattern;its rate of output value per acre is 3.19 times than the traditional agricultural production pattern.Therefore,in the pastoral pattern,the output value of pasture is 2.2 times higher than that of traditional agriculture.(3)Pastoral agricultural production pattern has good ecological benefits.The ecological service value of pastoral agricultural production pattern is 4160.97yuan/mu,which is 1.73 times than that of traditional agricultural production pattern.The value of pastoral agricultural production pattern to provide products,soil conservation,climate regulation,carbon fixation is 1188.5 yuan/mu,1198.1 yuan/mu,16.11 yuan/mu,and 1758.26 yuan/mu,respectively,which is higher than the traditional agricultural production pattern values of 479.31 yuan/mu,483.51 yuan/mu,1.94 yuan/mu,787.6 yuan/mu,respectively.According to the results of research and analysis,in order to increase farmers' income,promote agricultural economic development and protect the ecological environment,this paper puts forward corresponding suggestions.According to the local conditions,optimizing the agricultural production structure,and transforming the traditional agricultural production mode,the pastoral agricultural production mode could be developed.Also,consistent with the different natural resources in different places,rationally dividing the planting areas of different types of pasture products,and actively cultivating new forage products,the promotion of high—quality pasture seed cultivation techniques could vigorously be strengthened.Furthermore,accelerating the production of green organic pasture products,actively expanding the production scale of processing—specific pasture products,and striving to improve the quality,output and commodity rate of pasture products could be obliging.The agricultural production method using pastoral rotation is used to plant high—qualityfeeds mainly composed of alfalfa and silage corn.The government should increase subsidies for pastoral agricultural production and increase the enthusiasm of farmers for pastoral agricultural production.
