Measurement And Application Of Social Identity Of Affordable Housing Residents

In recent years,a large number of affordable housing communities have been built in our country.While fulfilling the requirements of housing needs of medium and low income people to some extent,some affordable housing communities has many problems,such as remote locations,lag of public service facilities,unsoundness of management system,which made affordable housing community often considered as “slum”.This phenomenon not only stigmatizes the affordable housing community but also lower the social identity of the affordable housing residents.This “stigmatization” also leads to new problems,such as high vacancy rate,surrender of tenancy,or even renunciation of houses purchased.Although scholars have a wealth of research on the various aspects of affordable housing community constructions,there are few studies on the social identity of the affordable housing residents.Thus,the residents' social identity is hard to be assessed and difficult to be improved.In order to make the affordable housing community truly benefit its residents,to fully understand the social identity of affordable housing residents(model construction,meansurement,improvement strategies of social identity)is necessary.For this purpose,the specific research contents of this paper are as follows:1)This paper thoroughly reviews the research on the affordable housing community and social identity.It analyzes the present situations and main problems of demostic affordable housing community construction,states the theories of social identity,and then gives the qualitative definition of the social identity of affordable housing residents,which lays the fundament for the evaluation of the social identity of affordable housing residents.2)Through literature analysis,this paper takes insights into the approaches of social identity,combines the features of affordable housing residents,and then analyzes the path of the social identity formation of affordable housing residents from both the individual and the governmental level.3)Through literature review,analytic hierarchy process and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method,this paper constructs the measurement model of social identity of residents of affordable housing community,assessing the social identity level from affordable housing residents' identity cognition,residential affection,future expectation,and proposing 15 measurement indexes including importance of community identity,community life security,community superiority,etc.4)Taking Dingjiazhuang affordable housing community in Nanjing as an example,this paper tests the evaluation model constructed in the fourth chapter,and according to the calculated results,it analyzes the social identity conditions of affordable housing residents in Dingjiazhuang community.Besides,this paper proposes social identity improvement strategies based on the three dimensions: identity cognition,residential affection,and future expectation of affordable housing residents.
