Performance management has been widely used in enterprise management in recent years,and its instrumental representation is outstanding.Urban public transportation has the advantages of saving land resources,energy conservation and environmental protection.Giving priority to the development of public transportation is an inevitable requirement for alleviating urban traffic congestion and improving resource utilization.However,due to the contradiction between public welfare and operation of the bus industry,most bus companies,especially county-level bus companies,face the long-term loss.As a labor-intensive enterprise,public transport enterprises urgently need to start from performance management to achieve the purpose of improving the management level and promoting the long-term development of enterprises.This thesis takes the NJ bus company,a wholly-owned subsidiary of the state-owned transportation group company of N County as the research object,and uses the questionnaire survey method to introduce the relevant examples of performance management at home and abroad under the guidance of performance management and related theories.Analysis,summed up the problems in the performance management of NJ bus companies.Based on the in-depth analysis of the current performance management system,from a strategic point of view,a set of performance management optimization programs suitable for the company's specific situation is proposed,in order to improve the company's performance management level.This thesis uses key performance indicators and balanced scorecard method to design key performance indicators for different levels of NJ bus companies,and assign different weights to indicators.In the implementation process of the company's performance management system,according to the performance management cycle theory,the various aspects of the performance management process are optimized.In order to ensure the smooth implementation of the optimization plan,it is proposed to set up a special agency for performance management and establish a performance management culture.The conclusions of this thesis can provide specific guidance for the company to improve the performance management level,and also give inspiration to other public transportation companies in other cities.
