| In a highly competitive and complex market environment,if an organization wants to achieve better development,It is not enough for them to pay attention to the in-role work behaviors of employees. They should also actively stimulate and mobilize the subjective initiative of employees, and drive them to actively show extra-role behaviors that are conducive to the development of the organization.Contextual performance is an extra-role behavior.Factors that affect employees’ contextual performance on the one hand come from the external environment such as the organization and managers,on the other hand, they come from the internal psychological perception of employees. In the view of employees, managers are agents of the organization, and their behavior will affect employees’ perception of the organization and their performance in the organization.Managerial trustworthy behavior is a group of behaviors that help improve the trust in managers during the interaction between managers and employees.Based on literature analysis and theoretical research, this study uses self-categorization theory and social exchange theory as the theoretical basis to construct a research model for the impact of managerial trustworthy behavior on employees’ contextual performance, and introduces perceived insider status and emotional intelligence as mediators variables and moderators to explore the internal influence mechanism. In this study, the hypothesis of the model was tested by statistical analysis of 303 paired survey data. This study draws the following conclusions:(1)Managerial trustworthy behavior has a significant positive impact on employees’ contextual performance.(2)Managerial trustworthy behavior has a significant positive impact on employees’ perceived insider status.(3)Employees’ perceived insider status plays a partial mediating role in the relationship between managerial trustworthy behavior and employees’ contextual performance.(4)Emotional intelligence has a positive moderating effect on the relationship between perceived insider status and employees’ contextual performance, and moderated the mediating effect of perceived insider status in the relationship between managerial trustworthy behavior and employees’ contextual performance. This study explores the influence mechanism of managerial trustworthy behavior on employees’ contextual performance and enriches the theoretical research of related variables. Finally, based on the research conclusions, this study puts forward management suggestions to improve employees’ contextual performance and promote the long-term development of company. |
