Study On Core Supplier Collaboration System Construction Project Of Company STU

As one of the most important additives in consumer goods,the sales situation of flavors and fragrances is also increasing day by day.Along with the gradual growth of the whole flavor and fragrance industry,market competition is becoming increasingly fierce and the industry control has become more and more strict.Coping with such market environment,STU found that sales gradually reached a plateau and profit began to decline.The reason caused this result can be attributed to three points.Firstly,due to the unreasonable supplier classification and management,the core suppliers are not recognized and the core resources are being wasted.Secondly,the low efficiency of communication with suppliers directly leads to the low success rate of new product.Last but not least,the inaccurate plan leads to high inventory and high cost of production management.Aiming at the three problems mentioned above,the methods of project organization and schedule are used to establish a special research project for the construction of the core supplier collaboration system.Meanwhile,the method of WBS is also used to breakdown the key tasks of solving some key problems in the planning phase of the project,such as the identification of collaborative supplier,the design of the way of collaboration,measuring the effectiveness of the collaboration and etc.When identifying the collaborative supplier in the planning phase of this project,instead of the original method of supplier classification,method of Kraljic is used to reclassify the suppliers and find who the core suppliers are as it comprehensively considers the value and market risks.And these suppliers who are classified as strategic suppliers will be the core suppliers.Collaboration is actually a process of mutual communication,cooperation and coordination for one target between STU and the core suppliers.Since this process involves multiple organizations and personnel,in order to make the information interact more effectively and quickly and members in different organizations can keep close cooperation and communication,project team design a cross function flowchart and build information interaction platform for R&D and production management collaboration.In the end,the method of AHP is also used when establishing a comprehensive evaluation system in the planning stage of this project.This system offers a standard for measuring the effectiveness of the collaboration in the closing phase of the project.This paper provides certain reference for flavor and fragrance manufacturers to how to collaborate with the core suppliers.
