With the rapid development of the economy and society,a series of problems such as lack of resources,environmental pollution and ecological damage are accompanied.As a traditional industrial production base in China,Hubei Province is currently in the mid-stage of industrialization.There are problems such as low resource efficiency caused by extensive operations and environmental damage caused by high pollution.Therefore,we will transform the traditional industrial economic growth mode,achieve sustainable economic development,comprehensive social progress,sustainable use of resources,continuous improvement of the environment and continuous innovation of technology,and take an industry coordinated by economy,society,resources,environment and science and technology.The road to sustainable development is particularly urgent for Hubei Province.This paper takes Hubei Province as the research object and conducts the following research on the sustainable industrial development capability of Hubei Province:The first part introduces the research background and significance of the evaluation of industrial sustainable development capability in Hubei Province,the research summary at home and abroad,the main research contents and methods.The second part analyzes the status quo of industrial development and the basic conditions of sustainable development in Hubei Province.The third part analyzes the system composition of industrial sustainable development capability,builds an industrial sustainable development capability evaluation index system,and selects the evaluation method.The fourth part is empirical research,including regional evaluation and industry evaluation.The regional evaluation is based on the comprehensive index calculated by the entropy weight method.The data envelopment analysis(DEA)is used to evaluate the industrial sustainable development capacity of 29 provinces and cities in China from 2011 to 2016,and analyze the sustainable development of industry in Hubei Province and other advanced regions.The gap in capacity,and then the vertical evaluation of the industrial sustainable development capacity of Hubei Province from 2007 to 2016,analyzes the trend of industrial sustainable development capacity in the past 10 years.The industry evaluation is to evaluate the sustainable development capacity of 31 industrial enterprises above designated size in Hubei Province from 2011 to 2015,and analyze the level of sustainable development of various industries and its causes.The analysis results show that the areas with high economic development level generally have strong industrial sustainable development capabilities.From a regional perspective,Hubei's industrial sustainable development capacity is lower than the national average,slightly higher than the average level of the central region,and the overall sustainable development capacity is weak;from the industry perspective,Hubei's tobacco manufacturing industry,automobile manufacturing,The four industries of computer,communication and other electronic equipment manufacturing,power,heat production and supply industries have strong sustainable development capabilities.The fifth part is the countermeasure research.In order to improve the sustainable development of Hubei Province,a series of suggestions for the countermeasures are put forward from the five dimensions of resource sustainability,technology sustainability,economic sustainability,social sustainability and environmental sustainability.
