Analysis Of Differences In Corn Production Cost Among Three Ecological Type Areas In Hebei Province

As a major producer of corn in China,Hebei Province has experienced a rapid increase in corn production cost in recent years,which has affected corn planting efficiency and product competitiveness to some extent.How to reduce the cost and improve corn planting efficiency have become the key to improving the competitiveness of Hebei corn industry.The corn planting in Hebei Province is mainly summer maize,which is mainly planted in the Taihang Mountain Piedmont Plain,the Heilongjiang Plain and the Yanshan Foothills.Affected by the natural and socio-economic conditions of three different ecological types,the cost of corn production in the three regions also shows different characteristics.Studying the factors affecting the production cost of corn in different ecological types,and finding out the reasons for the difference in the production cost of corn in different production types,it plays an important role in exploring ways to reduce the cost of corn production in different regions.There is currently no research in this area.This paper aims to find the key cost components that affect the corn production cost in each region by analyzing the differences in corn production costs among the three ecological types in Hebei Province,so as to propose countermeasures to reduce production costs and provide a decision reference for relevant departments to formulate policies.Based on the theory of comparative advantage,resource endowment theory and regional differences in crop planting costs and the influencing factors theory,this paper conducts four researches on corn production costs in three large ecological types areas in Hebei Province?Firstly,the status quo of the three major ecological types are introduced from four aspects: natural conditions,economic development level,agricultural production related indicators and corn planting cooperatives,family farms and processing enterprises.Secondly,Based on the field research data of corn production in Hebei Province in 2018,the corn production costs of the three regions are measured,and the results are compared and analyzed.Explain why there is a cost difference between the regions.The third,using gray correlation analysis method and double log-linear regression model to calculate the impact of corn production costs on the cost components of the three regions.And combined with the previous calculation results of corn production costs in various regions,the key cost components that affect the corn production cost in each region are finally found.The fourth,based on the summary analysis of the empirical results,the following conclusions are drawn: The cost of corn production in the three major eco-type areas of Hebei Province is obviously different and the influencing factors are different.Among them,the corn production cost is the highest in the Yanshan foothill plain area,and the labor cost and fertilizer cost are the main cost components that affect its cost;The production cost of corn in the piedmont plain of Taihang Mountain is the lowest,but the seed,pesticide and irrigation fees still have room to fall.At the same time,combined with the regional characteristics and policy conditions of the three major regions,relevant countermeasures and suggestions are proposed in different regions.The innovation of this paper is that by studying the corn production cost of the three ecological types in Hebei Province,the key cost components that affect the corn production cost in different ecological types are found.This paper takes the corn production cost of the three ecological types as the research object,compares the production cost and composition of corn in different ecological types,uses the grey correlation analysis method and the double log-linear regression model to analyze the correlation degree and influence degree between the cost components of corn production and production cost,and finds the key cost components affecting the corn production cost in each region.Combined with the regional characteristics and policy conditions of each region,the paper puts forward specific and feasible countermeasures.The research results of this paper have certain reference value for improving the corn production cost control measures and reducing the corn planting cost in the three ecological types of Hebei Province.It will also have a certain impact on further improving the corn planting efficiency in Hebei Province and improving the competitiveness of Hebei corn industry.
