The Impact Of Team Competence And Team Communication On IT Projects Success

Information technology projects are composite in nature and complicated for a personal to manage up,therefore combined efforts need to involve from the team members.The primary purpose of this study to examined the impact of team competence and team communication on information technology(IT)project success with the mediator of team cohesion.To achieve the research purpose the instruments were adopted form the previous studies and data was collected from the from the two cities of Pakistan and target the software houses and others companies who worked on IT projects.Most of participants were the team members of different IT related projects.Collected data was analyzed by using the partial least squares-structural equation modeling(PLS-SEM)approach.The study finding shows that team competence,team communication and mediator team cohesion have positive impact on IT project success.The study offers information and makes recommendations to the team leaders and the team members that in order to enhance and improve efficiency level of the projects,implementation,use of the best practices of team communication and selecting competent individuals should be made mandatory in the project-based organization.
