As a leader of a scientific research team,different leadership styles have a significant difference in the operation of the team.Ambidextrous leadership breaks through the limitation of single leadership model,has become a new field of leadership research,and has been widely used in the construction of scientific research innovation mechanism.Most of the existing research focuses on the impact of single leadership on innovation performance.ambidextrous leadership meets the differentiated needs of innovation activities of scientific research teams to a higher degree.It has important theoretical and practical significance to explore the impact of ambidextrous leadership in the process of innovation.In the process of scientific research innovation,innovators need to contact and communicate in many ways,absorb,transfer and transform knowledge.Each member is a node of social network,it is important to tap the potential power of team social network in the system of scientific research to improve the performance of scientific research and innovation.Based on the theory of leadership and social network,this paper introduces ambidextrous leadership as latent variable,team social network as mediating variable and leader-member exchange relationship differentiation as moderating variable,establishes the overall framework of ambidextrous leadership influencing innovation performance of scientific research teams from the perspective of power,puts forward hypotheses and makes verification analysis and discussion.The validity and credibility of the questionnaires were validated by pre-investigation.The questionnaires were distributed on the platforms of universities in Shaanxi,Beijing and Chengdu,and 420 valid questionnaires were eventually recovered.Multiple linear regression equation was constructed to test the hypothesis,and the mediating role of team social network was verified by the structural equation model.The results show that:(1)There is a significant positive effect of ambidextrous leadership and innovation performance of scientific research team,the positive impact of empowering leadership and directive leadership on innovation performance of scientific research team is significant.(2)The two dimensions of ambidextrous leadership and its own have significant positive impact on team external social networks.The positive impact of command leadership on the internal social network of team is not approved by significant testing,and the influence of authorized leadership on the internal social network of the team meets the significant requirements in a low degree.The positive assumptions of team social network include internal and external on innovation performance of research teams are supported.(3)The internal social network does not play an intermediary role between directly leadership and innovation performance.The mediating effect of internal social network on empowerment leadership and ambidextrous leadership on innovation performance of scientific research team is verified;the team external social network can mediate the relationship between ambidextrous leadership and its two dimensions and the innovation performance of scientific research team.Besides,the moderating effect of leader member exchange difference on ambidextrous leadership and innovation performance of scientific research team has also been tested.This paper plays an important role in utilizing limited resources,improving leadership effectiveness,strengthening the construction and utilization of team social network,and promoting the innovation performance of scientific research teams.
