Since the 1990s,the concept of project management is quickly entering the company management of industries such as construction,Internet and scientific research in our country.The project management certification based on PMBOK is also becoming more popular among enterprise managers and job hunters.What's more,in the manufacturing industry which occupies the main body of national economy,the concept of project management is also started to germinate.Managers begin to realize that how important a good project management is to the success of a companyAs a manufacturing company which is invested by Taiwan,NY company is influenced by Japanese corporate culture,so it already has its own management process in project idea and system.This paper firstly introduces the commonly defined concept of project,project management and the five process groups as well as ten knowledge areas,then elaborates the definition and features of Technical Transfer Project,explores project management process,system and ideas that used in Technical Transfer Project.Together with the requirements of a successful project management and the feedback from project team members of NY company,this paper conducts research on the project management process and idea of NY company,for its unique project which called Technical Transfer Project.Based on the above research,this paper gets the deficiencies in the project management of Technical Transfer Project in NY company.It mainly analyses the problems from team management,progress management,risk management,cost management and supplier management.At last,the author uses the best practice guide of PMBOK and his own job experiences,proposes the optimized suggestions to NY company ' s project management process.For team management,it suggests NY company to use balanced matrix organization structure,to grant authorization to the core leaders of a project team;for progress management,it proposes the optimized production management method,avoid conflicts of manufacturing time on production lines;for risk management,makes it as a part of process management and establish risk tracking table;for cost management,makes it as a process part,formulates project budget in the first place and continuously collects data from the whole project life;for supplier management,establishes the system of supplier management,make the list of " Supplier Green Partners”list.The above optimized suggestions aim to help NY company to improve in the dimensions of schedule,quality,cost and risk for the Technical Transfer Project.Continuously enhances NY company's overall project management level,deepens relations with customers,reduce additional cost and finally get better profit.
