In current increasingly competitive manufacturing industry,project management is an effective way for enterprises to improve their management ability,and project schedule management is an important part of project management.As project A is a transnational project of Company B,project A needs to be transferred to the new supplier Company Y in A short time under the circumstance that the original supplier Company E had major operational problems,which poses new challenges to the requirements of project schedule management.This paper takes the project A transfer of Company B as the research object and adopts the theme of case study.Firstly,the text of the case is written to introduce the background of Company B and A project transfer,as well as the problems existing in the project execution.And then,according to the guidance of modern project schedule management,risk management and communication management theories,deeply analyzes the root causes of project schedule planning,risk identification and control and the root causes of communication problems in the case.Further,the work breakdown structure(WBS)is adopted to effectively decompose the project tasks,fully define the person in charge of each project task,accurately estimate the execution time of each task by using the methods of expert judgment and three-point estimation,and use Microsoft project to create the project plan network diagram,so as to optimize the project schedule.Using the effective identification of risks in project transfer,qualitative and quantitative analysis of risks,fully develop the response and mitigation measures to monitor and control risks.In-depth analysis of project communication requests,formulation of effective communication methods and frequency,and definition of communication methods in different cultural and educational backgrounds to optimize the communication effect.Finally,through the synchronous implementation of the above measures,promote the completion of the project tasks on time.This paper aims at the case study results of Company B's project A transfer,which can provide guidance for the operation of other projects of Company B,and also provide reference for similar traditional manufacturing enterprise project transfer.
