Research On The Problems And Countermeasures Of RL's Working Capital Management

Working capital management is an important part of corporate 's financial management.Enterprises must not only ensure that the amount of current assets can meet the daily needs,but also improve the efficiency of use through the management of working capital,and carry out various current assets.Reasonable distribution does not waste resources or make funds short.Therefore,scholars have long studied the management of working capital as the focus.After decades of development,Chinese research on working capital management has also formed a relatively mature theoretical system.Practice research also covers all walks of life,including the more popular industries such as medicine and real estate.In this paper,the more traditional industry,the traditional offline retail industry,is selected for research.The traditional offline retail industry's finance involves a large amount of liquid assets,so how to properly allocate these liquid assets becomes a problem that retail enterprises need to solve.In addition,the rapid development of Internet has seriously impacted the market share of the offline retail industry in recent years.The emergence of e-commerce has led to a sharp decline in the offline retail industry.At the same time,there are various new sales models offlineemerging and bcoming an obstacle to the survival of the traditional retail industry.The traditional retail industries need to manage working capital save capital costs,and avoid waste of resources.RL is a relatively traditional offline retail enterprise.It is a relatively large chain supermarket in China.Although the number of newly opened stores in the country has increased slightly every year,the total operating income has decreased year by year,and the data shows that since the listing of RL company in 2010,its business results have been turned losses or losses every year,and even lost in two consecutive years in 2015,and becoming a st share.RL does not have a scientific working capital management system.The working capital management indicators have not reached the industry average.There are many problems,such as low liquidity ratio and slow inventory turnover,which exposes more financial problems.It is a very typical company in the industry.Therefore,this paper selects RL company as the case study object to study the problems in its working capital management,and proposes some feasible countermeasures for these problems.
