China's 13th Five-year Plan puts forward new requirements for China's current mode of agricultural production and operation, which should not only meet domestic demand, but also focus on foreign exports and provide strong support for the adjustment of social and economic structure. As China's the Belt and Road strategy continues to push forward, trade links between China and Kazakhstan are increasingly close, and Kazakhstan is the first trading partner of Xinjiang. This thesis studies the optimization of China's export structure of agricultural products to Kazakhstan, and the agricultural products are commodities, therefore the author defines the export structure of agricultural products based on the definition of export commodity structure and the literature review of this thesis, which refers to the proportion of China's export volume of various agricultural products to Kazakhstan in the total export volume of China to Kazakhstan in a period of time.In this thesis, the competitiveness index and Lawrence index are used to analyze and measure the export structure of agricultural products of China and Kazakhstan.Combined with the actual situation, the following conclusions are drawn:?The proportion of China's agricultural exports to Kazakhstan in China's total exports to Kazakhstan shows a downward trend, from 40.26%in 2008 to 27.57%in 2018;?China's export of agricultural products to Kazakhstan is mainly in Xinjiang. However,Xinjiang has problems such as the lagging of the construction of relevant government public service systems and the weaker strength of related export operators compared to the eastern and central regions.?The proportion of China's main export agricultural products to Kazakhstan(the eleventh category)tends to decline, accounting for 94.13%,90.4%and 90.12%of China's total export of agricultural products to Kazakhstan in 2012,2016 and 2018 respectively. The fall in competitiveness of main export agricultural products leads to the decline of overall competitiveness of agricultural exports to Kazakhstan.?Lawrence index combined with the actual export volume shows that China's export structure of agricultural products to Kazakhstan fluctuates greatly and has a negative impact. The export structure optimization index shows that China's export structure of agricultural products to Kazakhstan is a positive optimization trend, but the range is weak, indicating that the relevant agricultural products are not able to meet the market demand of Kazakhstan.According to a comprehensive analysis, the problems in the export structure of agricultural products from China to Kazakhstan are mainly manifested in the decline in the competitiveness of major export commodities;the relatively small size of other types of export commodities;weak strength of export business entities, and the outdated production and operation mode;Inadequate technical advantages of agricultural products for Kazakhstan Market;weak brand awareness and failed to make full use of the opportunities and business opportunities of cultural output brought by The Belt and Road Initiative. This article will put forward specific countermeasures for specific problems based on relevant analysis and measurement, hoping to provide some help for the optimization of China-Kazakhstan's agricultural product export structure.
