As a country with industrial economy as its pillar,China's manufacturing industry is also the core source of China's industrial industry.Therefore,the rapid growth of China's economy can not be separated from the rapid and healthy development of manufacturing industry.With the rapid development of manufacturing industry,we want to realize the development of processing trade,which is the core of upgrading from a manufacturing power to a manufacturing power.Because most of China's processing trade is concentrated in manufacturing industry,at the same time,the development of processing trade has been attached great importance in China,which has brought many positive effects to China's foreign trade.Although China's processing trade has taken an important part in the international market,the proportion of processing trade in China's overall trade has declined,and the development of processing trade is not stable enough.Therefore,the impact of processing trade on the total factor productivity of China's manufacturing industry and how to improve the productivity of China's manufacturing industry to promote the common development of China's processing trade and manufacturing industry are worthy of in-depth study.First of all,the relevant literature is sorted out,and the theoretical basis of the impact of processing trade on the total factor productivity of manufacturing industry is elaborated;secondly,the development status of China's processing trade and manufacturing industry is described,and the development status and problems in the development are analyzed;then,the data envelopment analysis method(DEA)is adopted Malmquist index analysis method measures the total factor productivity of China's manufacturing industry and 30 sub industries from 2003 to 2016,and analyzes the results.Finally,based on Cobb Douglas(C-D)production function,this paper constructs a model and makes an empirical study of the impact of processing trade on the total factor productivity of China's manufacturing industry with the help of stata15 software ?The empirical results show that:(?)China's processing trade can significantly improve the total factor productivity of manufacturing industry.(?)The key ofprocessing trade promoting TFP growth of manufacturing industry is that the import of processing trade has a significant role in promoting the scale efficiency of manufacturing industry.(?)The promotion effect of the number of processing trade employees on the technological efficiency of manufacturing industry is more obvious than that of the technological progress of manufacturing industry.The empirical results show that:(?)there is a significant positive correlation between processing trade and TFP.(?)Processing trade has a significant effect on the technological progress and efficiency of labor-intensive manufacturing industry.It can improve the scale efficiency and realize the technical efficiency.(?)Processing trade can promote the technical efficiency of capital intensive manufacturing industry,but not significantly,which has a significant effect on scale efficiency and a lag effect on pure technical efficiency.(?)Processing trade has a significant role in promoting the technological progress of technology intensive manufacturing industry,but the effect is not obvious.It has a positive correlation with technological efficiency,but not significant.
