With the aging of the world's population,the aging of the working population is gradually increasing,and one of the most common problems of the aging of the working population is the development of the middle and late careers of older employees.At the same time,more and more research is focused on the career development of elderly employees.Among them,the research based on the successful aging model of selection,optimization,and compensation(SOC)is becoming more and more mature,compared with the elder employees abroad.The research on domestic research around the SOC strategy on the career development of older employees is rare.Based on this,this study relies on the successful aging model of selection optimization compensation(SOC)proposed by Pual.Baltes and Margret.Baltes(1990)to explore the career development of SOC strategy for the elderly employees in China.Further research on how to use the SOC strategy to enable domestic senior employees to maintain their work status in the case of relative loss of resources,improve work performance and plan the development of the middle and late career.In this study,after studying the SOC strategy model and related concepts,combined with the current status of SOC strategy research at home and abroad,the SOC strategy questionnaire for elderly employees in China is first revised,and the reliability and validity are analyzed.The second is the study of the relationship between the use of SOC strategies for older employees and job performance and career development,and the impact of SOC strategies on the work performance and career development of domestic senior employees.The research results show that:1.The revised SOC strategy questionnaire has good reliability and validity,and is suitable for the measurement of the SOC strategy of elderly employees in mainland China.2.Through the research on the relationship between SOC strategy and work performance and career development,it is confirmed that the use of SOC strategy by older employees at work can effectively improve work performance,work ability,subjective and objective career success,and willingness to work after retirement.This research not only adds domestic research on SOC strategy on the existing basis,but also helps senior employees in the middle and late occupations to have a positive and effective impact on job performance and career development,which can effectively alleviate older employees due to age bands.The disadvantages that have come to inspire older employees' work enthusiasm and good work attitudes,which helps older employees to pay attention to their self-worth and better play their role in the workplace.
